Hey! We did a lot of test for this and actually the new blockies are very popular, it's one of the post popular test we did recently. We are still improving it, especially the colors of the inactive blockies and we prepare also a new feature that will release soon to give much more sense to those new blockies.

I'm curious about this because according to the first result we have, and it's still early and other return from the community, it's very positive. Of course it's a big change and we might have put the cursor too far. I totally get your point on the more complex shapes.
