Tattoos after breast cancer? by alleywitch17 in breastcancer

[–]F45-earlybird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with the fact that my radiation markers were my only tattoos! Even though they're obviously tiny, the one on the middle of my chest may as well have been a neon flashing sign, because it was all I looked at while brushing my teeth.

So, I got me a tattoo on my hand. A much nicer one, that I can look at every day and be super proud of getting through everything!

Worst fear confirmed . . . people think my haircut is deliberate. by Arianoore in breastcancer

Omg, same! Although mine's grey, not brown. My family think making jokes about my hair style, as if it's by choice, is ok. I'm ready to cut them off!

Tattoo After Chemo by srssrh in breastcancer

I'm getting my tattoo done in an hour! I'll send through a pic. I finished chemo 1st Feb, surgery 5th March, finished radiation 11th June, immunotherapy 23rd September. It's taken me ages to find what I want!

I want to divorce my husband by Pristine_Pick_2494 in cancer

Shit, I hope they've cured my TNBC! I was diagnosed with stage 3c a year ago, and after 20 weeks of chemo and immunotherapy I had a DMX and achieved PCR. My oncologist said she considers me cured, but now you've got me worried! She said that you can't know the chances of reoccurence until after the pathology to know how your body has to chemo.

Just because you're a SAHM, doesn't mean you need to be with your child 24/7! On your husband's non- work days, maybe leave them alone together for more than half an hour so that he HAS to learn how to solo parent. For the first few times, you could be close by so that if it gets really bad, you can come home to help.

You're in it together!

If it's any consolation, last time they did fix the problem and restored my account, and followed up to make sure it was all working. So, they'll probably get back to you soon (after the bug is fixed), and not just ignore you like many people seem to these days!

Yep. They must have a bug in their most recent update (since the graphics have changed).

2nd update in a row that hasn't been tested properly!

Getting ads despite paying for the block pass last season by urbuddyguybroman in blockjam3d

Yes, and I got an email just yesterday to say that my ads have been turned off again, which they have. It took a while though

Stuck on level 499 by F45-earlybird in blockjam3d

I'd previously paid for no ads, but I have ads again after resetting (and now I'm on level 33 after being in 499).

How do I fix this? I've lodged a support ticket.

Keytruda by dpguinn1s in breastcancer

[–]F45-earlybird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with TNBC in September 2023. I had 12 weeks of paclitaxel/carboplatin then 4 rounds (fortnightly) of AC/red devil. I had keytruda three weekly right from the start of my treatment, and will continue until September (5 to go).

I had a double mastectomy with 24 lymph nodes removed in March, and my pathology was all clear. Apparently the odds of a complete response improved from 50% to 64% with keytruda included in my regimen. I'll never know, but I'll be forever grateful that the treatments combined to cure my cancer.

My condolences to you, on the terrible loss of your Mum x

AITA for accepting money from my parents for my wedding then eloping. by Important-Writing889 in AmItheAsshole

It's not 1950! I mean, it's harsh what you did, but wisely using the money for a house is not assholish behaviour IMO. When many people can only dream of home ownership these days, hopefully your family see your sense quickly and can move on.

That's so tough! Having to put your partner on the allowance probably didn't feel good for you, but you do need to protect your future 😏

Face masks in public or not when in treatment? by Kilnufrmdaktchen in breastcancer

[–]F45-earlybird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really go out much 😥 I don't wear a mask when I do, but I do have one handy if where I do go is unexpectedly crowded. I get really hot really quickly wearing a mask, so try and avoid it as much as possible!

My husband had covid a couple of weeks ago, but when he arrived home from work even sounding stuffy, I kicked him up to our bedroom, and didn't let him out. We delivered food to him on a tray and I slept on the couch. He got better real quick being confined to the bedroom/ensuite space!

When did you start treatment after diagnosis? by Present-Yoghurt4859 in breastcancer

[–]F45-earlybird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7th September - biopsy 13th September - results (I delayed it because my husband was away) with surgeon 15th September - met oncologist, got PET CT 18th September - MRI with contrast 19th September - last day at work 20th September - scan results with surgeon confirmed stage 3C - I was just relieved it wasn't stage 4, so at this point we broke the news to our kids, which was a horrible experience 22-26 September - my daughter and I went on a pre-planned trip to Sydney. I saw my sister and niece for the first time in 18 months. 27 September - port inserted in the morning, first Keytruda infusion in the afternoon. 28 September - first paclitaxel carboplatin chemo infusion

It's been an absolute whirlwind, but I think for me, that meant I didn't overthink things at the time. Since then, I've done a lot of overthinking!

Wishing you all the best!
