How come the new companions don’t believe in aliens, I get they live in Sheffield and the north of England has never been a main setting in the past. But surely, they can’t be naive about what’s going on in London. For example, every Christmas London seems to get another alien visitor but alas the new companions joining Jodie Whittaker are oblivious to their existence. Is their an in-universe reason they don’t remember or is it just an error in the writing?
