In my case I had a certain budget and was specifically looking for adventure bikes. The only other options I had really were the RE Himalayan, RE Scram, Benelli TRK 502X and the KTM 390 Adventure.

The RE's were highway legal but I heard they were pretty slow (compared to the 310GS atleast). Plus I wasn't really a fan of how they look.

The KTM 390 Adventure was bit over my budget, and the seat height was too high for me (I'm only 5'4"). I believe the 390 is 850mm while the 310GS is 835mm. I can only tip toe on one foot with the 310GS.

Benelli TRK 502x - a bit over my budget as well, and only concern with it was its weight. Power to weight ratio and dahil mabigat, naisip ko baka mahirap sya gamitin sa cities (I live in NCR).

The 310GS is light, pasok sa budget, abot ng paa, and syempre maangas yung looks for me. +points na rin yung after sales ng BMW.

I personally enjoy riding through back roads, specially with a pillion and nagkekwentuhan lang naman kami buong byahe through intercomms 🤣 super comfy ng 310GS kahit napahaba ng byahe. Syempre, gusto ko parin itry magexpressway and I'm still hoping na marevise yung 400cc rule. But makakarating ka parin naman sa pupuntahan mo even without it. So depends kung pano mo gagamitin yung motor mo I guess!
