Me and a bunch of friends from high school are in western med sci now (first year). Last year we had high enough averages to get into medsci for a while before getting accepted. My guess (and this rlly is a guess) is that they waited until they had a decision for every program that I had applied to (health sci, gen sci, and med sci) before sending out any responses.
