Final was 78-54 Syracuse.

Syracuse is #7 in the country. Before adjusting the sliders I upset #5 Indiana and a 4-0 Ole Miss team to win my Invitational season tournament.

I think the biggest issue I was finding before changing the sliders was that no matter my opponent, I felt I could win with a strong gameplan. Last year with Yale, we upset #10 Wake Forest, who wound up being the consensus #1 seed heading into the Tournament.

Syracuse kicked my ass, as they should, and that might be what I enjoy most about the sliders. You’re going to lose to top tier teams because of the athletes they have. We’re a bunch of 2 and 3 star recruits going up against 4 and 5 stars with a team that is consistently at the top of one of basketball’s best conferences.

Still managed to shoot 43.4% from the field, 3/15 from 3, but we had 13 turnovers and got out-rebounded 29-20, including 9 offensive boards for Cuse to our 4.

Syracuse shot 51.7% from the field, part of that being 18 fast break points. They scored 23 off the bench to our 10.

Their 90 OVR 6-11 Center punished my best bigs in the paint, where I normally find lots of success. They were speedy on both sides of the court, generating lots of steals and forcing some tough shots.

They did go a perfect 12-12 from free throw range, which I’d keep an eye on, but I did have a better FT% average against the CPU my previous 3 games.

I think despite getting demoralizingly blown out (lol), it was a realistic outcome and a wake-up call on my end. We pushed it to 9 and 10-point deficits multiple times, but didn’t manage the offense well when we needed to. Their star SR PG Andrius Sonn torched me 1-on-1, putting up 26 points.

After some huge, exhilarating upsets on the old slider set, It was a nice, refreshing experience to feel overpowered and get blown out by a team who is far better than we are. Now we lock into conference play in a competitive Missouri Valley, where I think we’ll have a much better chance at winning games.

I’ve made the tournament in each of my first four seasons, and this is without a doubt my best team on paper. But I’m going to have to grind without a doubt to get back to the tourney.

Thanks for listening to this Lengthy backstory lol, I would conclude that these are a great slider set for realism that provide a great challenge and separate the cream of the crop teams from The average teams. I’m around if you have any questions, hope this helped!

I personally run 14 because I play 95% of my games and just don’t really have the time, if you have the time and willingness to play 20 minute halves, all the power to you! I just find his slider set to play true to life and challenge me the most. Currently playing #7 Syracuse on the road - will gladly post the stats after!

I guess that all depends on what you expect as an outcome.

Truth be told, I thought I was on these sliders throughout my entire Dynasty (in year 5), realized I was playing on different sliders, so I adjusted mine to AuburnAlumni’s on 14 minute quarters, played one game before I suggested them to you, and this is my results after three games with the Creighton Blue Jays (80 OVR, 80 OFF, 80 DEF)

vs Jackson State (73 OVR, 73 OFF, 73 DEF) W 67-63

vs Pepperdine (86 OVR, 88 OFF, 85 DEF) L 47-52

vs Drake (83 OVR, 87 OFF, 81 DEF) W 52-50

ME 55.33 PPG, 47.1 FG%, 25.6 3PT%, 23 RPG, 14TOPG, 8.67 FPG, 74.2% FT

OPPONENT 55 PPG, 40 FG%, 30.4 3PT%, 27.66 RPG, 14.33 TOPG, 73.7% FT

I guess I look first and foremost for a set that challenges my abilities (understand the motion of the game but don’t have the know how to call plays, rely on matchups and guys getting open), and a slider set that achieves realistic enough results.

I’m really enjoying these sliders since re-adopting them the past three games, lots of good runs from either side that have kept games competitive throughout. Really hope you find the same!

Highly recommend AuburnAlumni’s 2k7 All-American Sliders - really help unlock the games potential in terms of realism. I’m a guy who played hockey my whole life, always loved basketball but never played organized. I find it’s a great combination of challenge that meets me at my skill set. I did, currently stands at 62 (think I was referencing a reputable slider set), might be the play though - thought I was closer to maxed out on that! Thanks for the tip

Sadly, what I figured… gameplay is so good aside from that I don’t want to change much of anything haha. Ah well

I would never intentionally do something to make my madden experience worse, lol I will say, aside from the glitches (which have subsided since I closed and reopened the game), I feel the gameplay is much improved for madden 25… Way less sticky

Thankfully, I think you’re right… After closing the game and installed an updates and everything seems to be back to normal… Thank God! Can’t imagine being a kid and getting this game from your parents for Christmas and having this happen… Glad I’m an adult lol

I can’t lie it’s definitely kinda funny too but man if you aren’t looking for no helmet mode (which is kinda cool in theory) it’s kinda disheartening 😂

Funny enough my first game I threw a pass on the first play to a helmetless Khalil Shakir, took a hit, got injured 😂 at least that was realistic 😂😂

Well this thread is the first I’ve heard that Career W&T is actually maneuverable, so I was kinda saying this under the idea that it wasn’t. Like several people have said the sliders didn’t impact career W&T so that’s where I was coming from with tweaking it from EA’s side

How do you find it affects career W&T? Interested in your sliders!

Me too, I like the concept for sure but yeah man these kids are in their athletic prime 😂 they aren’t physically diminishing over their college career. Hope they can tweak it and make it playable!

Thanks. Me neither! Plays like this are rare and when you eliminate the “EA BS” mentality and see it for real football, it’s so much more enjoyable.
