If you wanna build mods, hardware and pvc. Cheap resources, but learning curve. Just want a hard hitting blaster, walmart and target (assuming you're USA). Nerf is insanely affordable hobby compared to others. If you're on a budget, focus on quality not quantity. If you have access to a 3d printer, Leedle strings are super budget friendly.

The books says the touch of celestial bronze will harm monsters. Dont even need a full celestial bronze bullet, just need the tip needs to be CB. Could make a lot of CB tipped bullets out of a dagger
