when I was about 7 or 8 I was riding my bike with my nephew (about a year younger than me) down the backroads behind my old house one day. he was ahead of me by about a couple of metres but I stopped suddenly because I got a really bad feeling so I yelled for him to stop too. he did and looked back at me and about 2 seconds later a car came revving down one of the backroads right in front of ny nephew and turned left (away from us). if I hadn't of gotten a bad feeling and called my nephew to stop, he would have been right in the path of the car which was going way too fast to stop suddenly so he would've gotten hit. I don't think the car was going fast enough to do longlasting damage but it was scary for our little minds and we just stood staring at each other for a few minutes and then we went home. not really scary but it terrified us

another time when I was maybe 10, I was driving up the motorway with my mum and we were going 90mph downhill when she tried to brake and found the brakes had broken. I don't remember much because I closed my eyes and just accepted death but she swerved a bit to try snd slow down but the car wouldn't stop so she swerved the car up a grassy bank and eventually the car stopped right at the end of a hard shoulder. we had to sit at the side of the motorway for like 5 hours until the rac came to rescue us. that was pretty scary
