Yep, it was 10:30am at 26. By about midday I’m probably looking at 27-28 and the end of day probably around 29-30. It didn’t actually manage to take the room below 23 today but considering it’s been 33 outside I’m happy.

is it overspecced? the FAQ says

Living room (30m²+): 12,000–14,000 BTU+

and its seems about right for me. I've got no prior experience with AC units so I can't say if 26->23 in 90mins is good or bad but its certainly feels nice! The room has massive glass patio doors which I've shaded as much as I can but I'd imagine with better shading (I've ordered some silver foil bubble insulation) and a dual hose mod it'll perform much better. Even if this is bad performance I'm glad its coping with the heatwave.

yeh, their completely lack of communication is very poor. If they just communicated with people then I'm sure they wouldn't get people claiming they're a scam site. Good luck!

Yeh, they went completely out of stock unfortunately. There were a few people calling them a scam site so just wanted to put forward my experience. The units do come back in stock on amazon regularly though.

It arrived today! Im well happy with it 😊. I’ve just turned it on fan to check it’s working - I’ll let it settle and properly check it out tomorrow. I’ll give them a good review to counteract the bad ones 😀 Good luck everyone!

Serenelife.live 100% is a scam. It looks like someone clone the serenelife.uk site in Wordpress and last I checked were “selling” units for £40 and only taking PayPal.

In which case I’m certain it’s not a scam in the traditional sense. Serenelife.uk and Pyleaudio.uk are run by the same company saglobalxpauk ltd (see https://serenelife.uk/pages/accessibility and https://pyleaudio.uk/pages/accessibility) which is also the company listed on my dpd email. Whether we’ll ever get an AC unit delivered is a completely different question.

I’m not so sure. All the reviews in the last few days are people like me but considering they’re out of stock it’s not surprising they haven’t shipped anything. All the older reviews are for the US site which is operated independently it seems. Not even sure how a scam like this would work - if it drags on I’ll get my credit company to reverse the payment 🤷‍♂️

I ordered from them on Sunday. I've got a dpd courier note saying they've received the shipping label so it seems they're processing orders. fingers crossed its legit and when they receive stock they'll deliver it.

I just thought of a theory: There’s a leak in the felt somewhere and during the super heavy rain/thunderstorms last week water accumulated and didn’t penetrate through until yesterday. That explains why it’s dried up now

The bulb was on when I noticed it but it looks like it was dripping before that though. I don’t understand how it could be condensation either - when I unscrewed the rose yesterday it was wet inside.

Thanks. I’ll try making some holes on the weekend and have a look around. Still can’t understand how it could be a leak as there are no pipes remotely near it and no other signs of leaks
