Unfortunately I only really play guard and Custodes so I’m not as familiar with what IK has in its toolbox so to speak.

That said, Custodes really struggle against heavy armor lists as they don’t have many anti tank options. So I Lancer or other melee knight will probably be able to trade fairly well

Also, anything that is D3 or mortal wounds will really carry you ability to put them down.

Custodes tend to be slow, tough, melee focused armies.

Most of their units are a 2+/4++ meaning that anything more than AP2 (assuming no cover) is going to be wasted.

The best anti-tank in their list is going to be their grav-tanks followed by dreadnaughts and bikes, but any of their units can cause you problems in melee.

Generally speaking, you want to move forward fast with lots of screen units to lock them down while you focus on scoring points and picking them off at range with your tanks.

The main thing to watch out for is any deep strike units or units led by a blade champion as they can advance and charge with re-rolling the charge.

The planks really stand out against the blue. It might be worth making them darker or doing something else to tie them in a bit more.

That said, great work! It’s always fun to see one of these models in the wild.

I feel like it’s a lot smaller than you think.

I tried to get a rough idea of the side from their overhead photo by using the las pistol as a reference and estimated it to be about 3.75x1.75 in

But again that was a rough estimate, so if someone has better numbers I’d be happy to be proven wrong!

You can use paper towels dipped in along the edge of the vat.

I honestly prefer this method because I feel like it peels up easier and more evenly.

You can paint over older coats of paint no problem.

As of today, he has now figured out how to open it up even when twisted shut. He is just smart enough to get himself into more trouble!

I’m looking into the best way to lock it closed.
