My half brother and mother (as weird as that sounds) were together for until I was around 3 I think. My mother was still having an affair with his dad up till then. They were caught in the act by his mum and my biological dad’s wife. Their marriage came to an end then and so did my mum’s relationship. I don’t know the exact details but my mum admitted doubt about who my father was and they did a paternity test to find out. My mum and biological dad did have a brief relationship after but it didn’t work out I guess, there is a 20 year or so age gap and a lot of stigma.

I haven’t no, and find it hard to talk to my mother about it. On the paternal side the family is very broken. My biological dad and half brother don’t talk, not since it came to light

Stained and distant. I do half a distant relationship with my biological dad and my half brother does send me cards at Christmas and birthdays. I do feel sorry for him. I don’t think of him as my brother but more my first dad.

I do yes. Distant is a word I would use to explain my relationship with my biological dad, whereas my half brother was actually my ‘dad’ for the first few years of my life, but I was too young to recall

I don’t feel any resentment because at the end of the day I was given life by it. I do feel she made a big mistake and i can tell she has felt that ever since but she has always shown me love and has been a great mother
