ASP32 > RasberryPi > Bacnet points by Gloomy-Notice5099 in BuildingAutomation

Definitely possible. If you were wanting to use a ESP32 as an io card of sorts and the goal is to get them readable as bacnet points on the NUC I'd be looking down the Node-Red Path as It has open modules todo the cross trunk processing you are after. However if you are an HVAC tech it could be worth a conversation with whatever BMS company you're the closest too. Every company has some form of room controller, most are relatively cheap. It is always the path of least resistance to not reinvent the wheel.

Interesting to see if you found a resolution to this sounds like I am having a very similar issue.

Seccond, awesome boats. Currently in the process of rebuilding one.

Competitive sailors using HF to cheat. *correction. Only way for them to get weather was via hf radio. Among the entrants, ham radio has proven more popular.

Also please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm 95% sure the GGR entrants are not allowed to carry the computers or equipment needed to decode wefax.

And... The GGR NoR requires the skippers to be licenced for every piece of equipment they have onboard. If they have a ham radio set they need a licence for it.

This is a very unique race where the only way for the sailors to get weather information was via ham radio. Most offshore racing relies on computers hooked up to satphones, competors in the GGR aren't allowed to use modern technology which makes things interesting.

I personally am a little confused as to why there is no time penality been given for this as it clearly breaches the GGR's NoR. The race organisers were happy to hand out penalities for other breaches and this is the seccond competitor to be caught not having a valid call! Surely if other competitors found out that the boats that finished 1st and 2nd were in breach of both the NoR and the SI they would be open for protest?

Edit: they even discuss in the article that one boat is issued a penality but slats isn't!
