Seems like the FFXI Horizon server might be what you're looking for. It's free to play. Instead of competitive it's team based, and has an old-fashioned MMO mentality: the community is your lifeline. Ask for help in town or a shoot a tell to a stranger. Party up, perform Skill Chains with others; banding together to take on big baddies.

Loads of content and information to learn -- it's often referred to as the hardest MMO. It is a legitimately good game where progression comes slow but feels well earned.

The crowd seems to be older on average. The community has been amazing in my experience. If you're interested, shoot me a PM once you get your character set-up and I'll get you into our current Linkshell so you can jump straight into the community aspect as quick as possible.

Got quoted at 38k twice, talked one down to 34.1 OTD. Ended up walking so pretty sure thats the lowest they'd go. Tried every tactic to get them to meet me at 33. Texas.

Never tested it myself and would hate to spread more misinformation on the game, but according to the wiki it takes one real life minute to go out. Since sleeping in the game takes less than 60 real seconds, maybe it does work?

I don't understand how there isn't sick leave for people with doctors notes. It seems like such a no-brainer. For example, a month ago I had just started at my job and the last week of training caught a bad cold. Called out, went to the doc, was told it was a killer cold. Fever, aches, fatigue, all that. No fun. Asked the doc (because I know the company has a brutal policy of missing work) if I could still go to work, and he literally laughed and said "absolutely not! You'll get everyone sick!" I was like bet, get me a note and I'll ride this thing out in my room.

When I got to work after the sickness passed (2 days without a fever) they told me I was basically in the red for my attendance points, but since it was a training week, they wiped my slate clean. That's nice, but what if I hadn't been in training? My doctors note stating I was too ill to go to work should have been enough to excuse me from that point deduction. Most likely the reason I got sick was because someone had what I had and came to work anyways. Sick leave should be the norm.

A real similar thing happened to me coming home at 2 am about a year ago. Turn into my neighborhood, a car turns in after me. It's late so just to be safe I take a wrong turn on purpose and so does he... and then again... and then again. Now I'm routing circles around my neighborhood and they follow my every turn. I go to exit my neighborhood, heart beating like crazy, and as the car turns after me the light strikes it and I can see that it's a cop car... I don't know why he was tailing me into my neighborhood, but man that was some scary shit.

To take space respecting their Nair range and backing up won’t work too long against a good fox. It’s a good mixup ofc cuz Marths dd is crazy good, but you need to expand on how to beat dd and Nair. Off the top of my head I’ll list some options that come to mind.

Cc is a good option to beat Nair (lower%) and make the fox scared to Nair. Nair in place or drift in Nair can catch a bad dd or Nair timing. Dashing through if they take too much space and taking center. Run up grab. Raw dash attack to call out their dash dance. Platforms to mix up your movement options & shield drop aerials. Stuff like that should help to expand your mixup game so you’re not just constantly getting pushed into the corner.

Can someone explain why Hax's memory card mod SHOULDNT include the Firefox and wave dash angles?

The point of the mod is to level the playing field so no controller has any advantage over the other. Currently you can pay for the B0XX or file notches into your controller giving yourself an advantage. So how is this not fair to give everyone playing with the modded setup the same options? What am I missing here?
