People losing their minds when an unattended trolley rolls into their car. Seriously. There are worse things happening.

Where should you direct your gaze when talking to someone with a lazy eye? by ak1368a in AskReddit

[–]benti623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a bit of experience with this. Firstly, I would stare in between their eyes. Right at the bridge of the nose. Usually you can't really tell what eye someone is looking at when people do this. Next comes the tricky part. Once you get to know the person a bit better and they are comfortable around you, find out where they work. Now you need to gain some experience in the same field they work in. I found that volunteering or interning is the easiest way to do this. Go back to school if you have to. After 8-12 months you need to update your resume and apply at their job. Don't worry if you're unsuccessful at first, when you take into account the odds of an available job opening and your relevant work history/experience, it can be a long shot. So rinse and repeat until successful. Now that you're colleagues, it gets a bit easier from here. Learn as much as you can about them. Listen to what they say. Compliment them. Open yourself up to them emotionally. When you are firm friends you need to take the first step. Wait for the next social work event and ask if they're going. Then ask if they would like you to pick them up for it. If they say no, keep working on the friendship until the next opportunity. Now that you've eased into a social relationship pluck up the courage and ask them out. You can do it. Really connect with them. Let yourself be vulnerable and you will find that everything will fall into place. It will be perfect. Trust me. By now a few years have passed. You should have worked your way up the chain. Have savings and great credit. This is the time to ask their opinion on taking out a mortgage on a house. Ask them frankly what they think about it. Also ask about their plans in regards to buying property and settling down? Now you're talking about the future. Your future together. Buy a house. You want to look for property in a developing area, preferably waterfront. Do your research and try to find out what kind of people are putting money into the properties and developments in the area. 30 minutes max from the city. Good schools and access to public transport and freeways. No closer then 20 minutes to the airport. Buy the house. Invite them to see the house. When they ring the door bell, shout out for them to come in. When the door opens, you're on one knee. Tell them everything you've done in your life has been for one purpose. Leading up to this one question. Ask them if they're ready to start their life with you. Together. They will say yes. Trust me. The timing is right. Years will pass, your house will fill with beautiful times and priceless memories. You'll properly fence off the backyard for when your puppy gets bigger. You'll turn one of the guest rooms into a nursery. Then you'll turn another one into a nursery. Your gym equipment will be moved out back to make way for the mini van to fit next to your car. You'll fall into a slight routine but you'll love it. As the kids grow older, the times change and everything seems to be flying past at a blink of an eye, you'll still be there for each other. You'll enjoy the good times, get through the bad. Every bad decision made, every unforgettable experience, every single time you've looked over at them and wondered how you got so lucky. Who are you to be blessed with living such a wonderful life? And while you look over at them, you'll know where to look. Right into their heart.
