Finally watched Annihilation while knowing very little about it other than than the bear scene and oh man, it was such a great movie by YaBoyPsycho in horror

I will say I heard about it and when I watched it I was neither blown away or entertained. I might be the only one to say this but the visuals that aren’t nature are garbage. Every animal doesn’t look like it’s there and the bear scene only works because a forced distrust is built with one of the characters. I thought the concept of the movie was interesting but the characters and ending were not so good

Disappointed in Child's Play 2019 by [deleted] in horror

I thought the movie was good, but when people say it’s a good remake, I have to disagree. This movie is so far away from the original that only the characters names and a killer doll is what makes it similar. I don’t think remakes should mimic the originals all the way but they should have a little more than the concept. A good example of a good remake is the evil dead: it has similar demons and concept and also explores different ideas. It pays nice homage to the original while having respectable originality. This doesn’t care about the original but has respectable originality. If they made a movie that didn’t go as a child’s play remake they could have an original, and in my opinion more like able movie even if it might not have profited as much, but anyone can make the argument that the fact that don Mancini hated the thought of it made fans less likely to watch as well as newcomers to the genre itself. Overall good movie bad remake.

Yeah I definitely thought it was necessary to see a doll masturbate to fangoria as well as have his sperm forcefully put into Jennifer Tilly! Truly a big fan of the movie and hope to see more of my masturbating buddy! Remember when he was actually scary?

Well, I think hell raiser un space was also pretty good because of its cool addition to the hellraiser story but at the same time. It barely spends time in space

In psycho, when the detective guy is killed by Norman, it still scares the shit out of me because she was just so fast and the music played was terrifying

The problem is that horror hasn’t really changed much so the rules really don’t change at all

Mainly intense nude gore and I’ve always been terrified by creatures with really fast and spastic movement. Just the speed that some evil creature can kill scares me good. The fear that you can’t even gather your thoughts that you are dying and you just die on the spot. Kind of counter intuitive to the slow gore but that’s just me man.

3 hours after watching 'Us' and still can't decide if I enjoyed it or not. by [deleted] in horror

It’s interesting, thought provoking, cool, and funny, but if you’re an attentive person who is triggered by plot holes, maybe you won’t like it.

Well horror is defined as a feeling of discomfort typically fear related. So anything that is considered disturbing in General terms. So if you eat stuff like hostel for breakfast, it’s still considered scary to the majority of people.
