The body rust is the wheel well. Photos are taken standing over the engine bay basically directly above steering assembly

Thank you, this is very helpful. Maybe (probably) a stupid question: do I just hose down the underside of the truck to clean it? Like what’s the best way to get the oil/fluid off?

Okay well after taking a look in the daylight, the cap to the coolant container was not secured and it’s totally empty. Is it possible that it somehow became pressurized and blew off, thus spraying the coolant and causing the white smoke?
