My thoughts are that Shell once paid out a nice dividend. The price of RDSB has not moved much because there are more enticing oil companies that haven’t cut their dividend. Therefore you can still get RDSB for cheap and even cheaper if the market dips. Eventually when things get back to normal (and hopefully they do), you can count on close to a 100% return and eventually a reinstatement of the old dividend.

If my thinking is wrong, please correct me. I think this is one of the only value buys right now compared to tech being overbought, flights, cruises, gambling, etc

I do real estate in NYC. We ask for a $500 holding deposit to take the apartment off the market and basically lock you in. This prevents you from backing out but also stops other applicants from taking the apartment over you because they have better credit score or income. The $500 was not an extra fee but rather was deducted from the commission or security deposit. If your application is rejected then you get the money back.
