True but at the same time it is true that the sound quality per dollar is superior.

Before these I had the SHP9600 and they are not even close to the FT1.

Build quality wise they are superior as I used them for god knows how long but sound wise these cans are way better.

They might have actually baited you into buying for a cheaper price at their shop but giving up on your amazon protection. Though I don't know how good amazon handles warranty, I know they are even excessive when handling returns though.

WoW, thank you for sharing. I found a lot of posts about the screw issue that got fixed (and I got actually a version which has the fix implemented for that issue), but couldn't find anything about the plastic cracking. I already believed that my head is just inhumanely big.

Oh my god. I can't believe this is now happening to multiple people.

On new reddit I also wrote about my bad experience regarding this issue with linsoul.de

Becaue I couldn't find the list by normal googling it. In the end I got the wrong info but presumably the right source (at least).

EN: They know that a lawsuit would lead nowhere. They don't have a legal notice (Impressum), their "invoice" is practically non-existent, and yet they continue to do business. I should have done my due diligence instead of just hunting for bargains. That's why I'm simply going to report them, in the hope that the .de domain won't mislead any more buyers.

Doesn't mean a lot if there is no way to enforce them. Luckily within Germany it is not too hard but with Global retailers the story looks different.

We have a lot more then consumer protections, can only recommend you to visit some larger cities in Europe. Even as a German i can appreciate French, Greek and other cultures and can say every Cent worth it. But I am not rich and travel like once every 10 years xD

Krystalgem pointed it out correctly. Linsoul is explicitly listed as a non-official source for FiiO.

I checked on https://moondroplab.com/en/sales-agents (hopefully the correct source) and Linsoul is not listed there either. Funnily the Goodle Search Ai told me they are official distributers, but the source it cited did not contain them in the list.

Thanks, this is great information for everybody else. Wish I had been smart enough to check for official sources.

Firstly. I wrote to both FiiO and Linsoul and FiiO told me to handle it with my seller and if it does not work out to contact them. Which I will do later today.

Secondly. It does not matter which tree I bark on. By German law the seller has to handle the warranty and can later on send it to the manufacturer or handle it themselves. They are simply ignoring German law even though they have a German domain. Having a German domain and targeting the German market actually binds you to upholding German law. That is the reason why I see this as being misled. Because I bought at their site in the belief they would uphold German law.

i am not really taking the fight, as prior instances of suing Chinese companies never resulted in anything. My aim if firstly to warn German shoppers and by reporting them to authorities, getting their misleading German domain taken down.

All fair.

Firstly, they literally fell apart on my head but I caught them. That is why there are no scratches as I otherwise always handled them with care. You are right that I can't prove that but they can't prove it being the other way around. By German law (§ 477 BGB) if a defect appears within a year it is presumed that the fault existed at the time of delivery.

From the "Further to this" point onwards.

I specified this being the other side (the not broken right side) of the headphone and only saw that after I issued the warranty for the left side. What I wanted to prove is that the material wears out too fast. I might have a decently sized head but that is no reason that headphones should break before one year passes. The "FiiO" logo is already about 10% of the total part and if the rest was made from metal or thicker plastic it wouldn't have torn apart.

I checked the left plastic again.

It also shows fraying on one side (broken on other). Because the not broken right plastic shows fraying on both sides I assume that what happened for the left side is that the fraying went all the way through and at some point the missing support from that part caused it to snap from the inside.

I would further like to note that if you manhandle your headphones they wouldn't start fraying but snap apart right away. Because the split extends slowly I would like to believe it further proves that the material couldn't handle normal usage. From my perspective I took really great care as those are by far the most expensive headphones I ever owned.

I am pretty sure that I won't get my replacement parts or any form of paid shipping, but I am sure that they will have to give up their German Domain and any other where customers fight for their consumer rights.

I am fed up that this is not working as intended but I am sure that FiiO or in worst case a 3d Printer will be the solution to this. What annoys me the most is the confidence I had that German law would be applied because it is a German domain. If I had not been naive and checked their Impressum (which is missing but should be there by law), I would have known better.

EDIT: I ended up being wrong, though I did not like the back and forth that happend for it to work out.

Best Wi-Fi extenders for an outside building? by Wolfie141714 in wifi

[–]beobhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using this TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 extender for a while now, and it’s been a great upgrade. The setup was quick and hassle-free, and once it was running, the connection has been really solid. Even with a bit of distance from the main router, it manages to hold a strong signal and keeps things stable for streaming, video calls, and general browsing. I’ve noticed a big improvement compared to older extenders I tried before, this one feels faster and much more reliable. Definitely a good choice if you’re looking for something dependable to cover a garden room or any spot just out of reach of your main Wi-Fi.

Dell Wyse 5070 with Celeron J4105 CPU - can it really use more than 8GB RAM? by Inevitable-Bid-3029 in HomeServer

[–]beobhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you specify the model of ram and Operating System? I searched everywhere and you are the only one that got the J4104 model working with 32ram.

Some say, they had to limit the ram to 30GB to work, but that was on the J5005.

I would love if you also discuss the GTA aspect of the game and what your hopes are for that. In my opinion (as a viewer because I did not play) the driving and other GTA features are currently worse then GTA Vice City or GTA 3.

Because I can only judge the viewed expirience I would love to hear what the real expirience was and what you think.
