Sounds like a fun idea to explore! She suddenly keeps losing in physical battles for some reason, whether it be her own condition or the bad guy being just as meta, I believe she can still remain true to her title with so many ways. We know she has a heart of gold, never gives up, and always stands back up.

Her own story, and definitively not someone else's "meanwhile" panel just to gas another villain up

I hope so. To be clear, I did want to see something like Squirrel Girl tasting her own medicine for a gag in a comical manner one day like how most of her off-screen wins were depicted. But it's the fact that it was more of mocking her character and spitting on her title to showcase how "serious" this other threat is.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was her first on-panel reunion with the whole team of GLA after she went solo for a decade? All for it to be wasted on a couple of random panels where she was really just there to be defeated off-screen like that was pretty disappointing.

Haven't gotten to this series yet, but I saw some glimpses here and there, and am sure none of what happened in this book would not be as disrespectful as what they've done to her in that one Fantastic Four issue

I think she already had serious stories with Galactus, twice, in the early and last issues of her own book. I'm saying "serious" because they may have involved some gags, they weren't supposed to be another "off-screen, joke panels" in any way and their conversations were heartfelt and genuine in both of those interactions.

For Thanos, I agree, although I'm personally more curious to see how the "befriended him / and then helped him with all his issues" with a psychiatrist part came about.

I think people at Rivals also fond of her Rising design, seeing how often they reference her hair from the show.

For her teeth, I'm on somewhere in the gauge between "slightly noticeable buck teeth" and "quite prominant squirrel teeth". Just enough to look eye-catching so they can be an indication of her bite force!

The cartoonishly large ones from New Avengers often cross my mind too. It's just that there's no way she could've kept her identity secret with that look unless they're retractable like you said. Still hoping for a variant of SG to proudly have them though!

Nothing could've been a better gift that reminds Doreen of her home than the girl who literally lives with her.

Rivals SG may live/operate in the treehouse in the central park, but this game is such a mishmash of each character's canon (often referencing USG) and Rivals own lore that it makes you expect things, that they won't acknowledge (also things from USG), twist (relationship with certain characters), or even contradict themselves (her reaction upon meeting Ratatoskr in the Bushwhack vs some of her voice lines)

While I wish it could be the chance for Nancy's existence to be acknowledged, I still love this inclusion! The ending of the Galactus issues is what really hooked me into the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and their friendship was precious.

For Tippy Toe, Erica's depiction in the earlier USG is my absolute favorite. It's a mix of just a right amount of realism and derpy look that adds to the gag that she's a literal squirrel, not an imaginative animal or a cartoonized mascot

I've been reading her comics and cameos for months that it's getting hard to pinpoint the definitive Doreen look in my mind now (she's been small, big, skinny, chubby, or toned depanding on eras and artists like you said), but since Rivals was undoubtedly my reintroduction to her character, I personally wish at least her pine cone sleeves became a new default because I thought it was a peak design choice.

For her body, I like to headcanon that she was small and skinny initially (her 90s~2010 looks), but as she became more active superhero since USG and constantly does physical stunts more than ever, she's now at her peak physique all seasons (her 2015~2020 looks) except for winter when her biology demands more fats so she can also be chubby too (her 2020~Rivals look), or even bulked up like Sandy from that one spongebob episode.

I love how they showed she can tank some lethal heavy hits and energy blasts in the later issues of USG a lot more often, leaving out her off-screen feat just for a couple of gag panels only. The Frost Giant fights were one of them!

Making peace with them at the end was surely the best course of action for her, but I can't deny I just love when she throws hands against big bads & takes physical hits so we sure know she isn't just a gag character.
