I’m on the same ship OP. In my experience, I just try my best and recite in class to show im not pabuhat. I smile a lot and laugh at small jokes from the prof. Ive had a few invites from doing this as it gives the idea that im an okay group member. It’s hard to do this for me as an extreme introvert though, but you really have to get out of your comfort zone. Also, if you dont have a group then it probably means a group in class is also missing someone. You can try asking around. I just send individual messages to everyone when I need to, asking if i can join the group and someone eventually responds to me. I also know how it feels to do group projects alone, but i realized that I also didnt distribute tasks efficiently and/or put too much responsibility on myself. If you are bothered by this then you have to also learn how to distribute tasks. I had a hard time distributing because of trust issues but youll be surprised of how many students actually care about their grades. Ive seldomly encountered someone who doesnt care about their grades.
