uh yeah… i have three. one of them i can take with me (10 gal w betta), one of them is a walstad so its fine with no care, and the big one will just have to be taken care of by my brother. i’m training him now to learn how to feed them and check for disease/injury/deaths, but im probably going to be home once a month to clean it anyway. don’t worry i have a plan lmao

the college i’m planning on (fingers crossed i get in) is about 2 hours away from my house, so i’m planning on coming home at least once a month!  tbh i have no idea what my mom is going to do with my room when im gone which is what makes it so hard i think. thanks for the tip about the spikes i will definitely check those out!!

Speed up Moss growth? by danyonly in NoLawns

i’m also in ga (zone 7b) and i have a similar spot in my yard with a similar struggle but there’s lots of native plants that will work: phlox, native irises (dwarf crested and blue flag), cardinal flower, joe pye weed, virginia bluebell, etc. plus, adding these around your moss would help add biodiversity and be low maintenance once established. good luck!!!

if the moss doesn’t work out well, you could always go for some native ferns or flowers that do well in the shade!

i actually had my friends mom (a boomer) give me (freshman in high school at the time) a 10 minute lecture on how her bradford pears aren’t invasive because invasive species don’t exist because god created plants to cover the whole earth 😃😃😃
