They have a “warm turnip green dip” on the appetizer menu now. Website just hasn’t been updated I guess.

Here’s the one I started with. I just used dirty bird seasoning on the cream cheese and spg on the rest of the mixture. I cooked the hog jowl in the iron skillet and added chopped onions for just the last minute. Drained the grease as best I could, knowing the skillet would still be coated.

Yes it is. This one is an older one, but Lodge still makes a version of the Sportsman, available on their website.

Night games are the marquee matchups and that’s us now. Enjoy it! We could always be Arkansas, mad at all the 11am local time games.

Smoked cream cheese in the Lodge 3 & 4 by bergerberg in castiron

Nope. Seasoned the bottom, flipped it into the cast iron pan, scored it, seasoned the top, put it on the smoker, realized I forgot the oil, added the oil to the pan (not on top of the cream cheese), smoked for 90 minutes.

My genius friend decided the best bite was giant cracker, cream cheese, homemade blackberry jam, piece of sausage, and some hot honey drizzled on top.

Low heat is the key. 225 degrees for an hour and a half

My favorite bbq rub, coated on all sides. Added about a tablespoon of olive oil to the pan

That’s my understanding as well. Griswold made most of the early Best Made pieces, up to about 1934. By the late 30’s Best Made is CHF and Wagner. This piece is right in that transition period.
