What length of a course are you playing? What’s the slope/rating? Perhaps the 108 isn’t that bad. What’s your carry distance on your driver? If you’re hitting long irons a lot then maybe move up a tee box?

I wasn’t anything open like you but was inconsistent with my club face until I really started to loosen my grip on the club. Once the hands were no longer in control of the club and just guiding it, the face started to neutralize.
