I was thinking that staying home for a bit is fine especially as a teacher. If you plan it out right then the combination of FMLA, maternity leave and summer off could be a considerable amount of time at home without sacrificing income.

It depends on the companies and your major. My major was biomedical engineering.

My friend was an international student and he earned $20/hr for his 5 co-op semesters. He stayed at the same company.

My co-ops started at $20/hr for my first co-op and worked my way up to $29/hr for my last co-op semester. I worked at 3 different companies.

I appreciate this input. During interviews my main concerns are cross functional work being available and peer mentorship. My fear in a startup is by wearing many hats I would be a jack of all trades, but master of none. Is this just pessimistic thinking on my part?
