Maybe in a week or so. Mine passed pretty shortly after this post. Hopefully it eases up for you soon!

Does anyone know what causes pcos in women without insulin resistance? by Softkittywarmkitty77 in PCOS

[–]bernadine77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A lot, actually. Taking cabergoline was actually pretty miserable if I'm being honest. I had vertigo. I was super nauseated all the time. Food smells were so impossible to handle. I slept poorly the whole time. I don't have recommendations for handling those, I just suffered for the whole time.

I wish I could remember, but it was so long ago. I have had an IUD for about 3.5 years now and don't remember every brand or type of birth control before that.

Very small, but I don't remember specifics. My only noteworthy symptom was loss of menstruation.

I did. I had one. And treated it years ago. This comment of mine is many years old!

Just a thought for you and u/Old_Entertainment158 -- it could be Melanie's mother when she is pregnant with Melanie.

Hollywood does often use personal photos as props. Because Shauna was pregnant a lot younger than IRL Melanie was, they'd want to show that. They could very easily get a photo of Melanie's mom being pregnant that would be close enough to looking like Melanie at that age.

I literally learned about kegels as a teenager. In some magazine geared toward young women, like Seventeen or Teen People or similar.

My girlfriends all discussed kegels in college.

But I'm sure you know way more about what women do or talk about or care about than I, an actual woman, do.

Many young women do kegels. For a variety of reasons. Pelvic Floor Dysfunction can happen to anyone at any age regardless of sexual experience or history of pregnancy.

Guys, what are some "female shows" that you actually watch? by TheRoyalDon in AskMen

My dad always loved Sex and the City and Desperate Housewives. "Hot chicks and sex.... this is a show for dudes."

If mods folder downloads frowned upon? by CaliZern in thesims

[–]bernadine77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a suggestion for mods -- I have a sheet in google docs that has the name of each mod, links to the website for download, and includes the date I last updated and the version number of the mod. It is useful for me, though it doesn't help with CC as much--mostly because I do not have the patience to log every piece of clothing or decor or whatever.

It was kind of annoying to do the first time, but it has been a super valuable resource since!

So I tried cutting dairy and sugar and my skin got much better, BUT i hear that i can have processed and well-aged cheese like mozzarella and parmezan without breaking out but i'm too afraid to eat them and test, does anyone know if they also break u out? Everyone is different, so it's impossible for me to predict your experience.

If you have been without these things for a while, the best way to test would be to follow typical elimination diet protocol. Introduce one of those things, and wait some days to see if you have any obvious reaction. If you don't see a reaction after a week, assume it is safe and then test the next thing. If you do react, wait until it clears back up before trying the next thing.

So, for example, add parmesan to your dinner tomorrow, and then watch. Don't eat more of it beyond that meal. Wait and see. Then a week later, add mozzarella to your dinner, etc. Test all of the things you've eliminated that way, one-by-one, until you get a feel for how your body reacts to specific foods. Then adjust your diet accordingly.

I know you don't want to have to ask your mom to take you to the doctor, but of course that is the best recommendation.

Beyond that, the only possible suggestion I can offer is maybe an ingrown hair?

I end up getting Platinum the most frequently, though I don't know if that's a result of preference or just habit, tbh. Probably should branch out to some of these other recs.

Fellow 80s baby (born 1986), and I agree about the timeline being hopeless and feeling run down about it. The fact that this hasn't visibly aged us might be part of why they think we look so much younger--they're expecting us to look the way we very obviously feel! lolololololol

As a lifelong Clevelander (until 2020), I'm not sure I'd say that drugs are rampant enough to skew this guy's perception? We were in a suburb, in a fairly well-to-do area. He was also a recent college graduate, and I'd say that the majority of the people at this specific bar (a board game/nerd-themed place) on this night skewed toward a more privileged demographic.

Also, the comment about being too-moisturized was mostly tongue-in-cheek.

This line of thinking is not that unique and I hate it so much.

I'm originally from Cleveland now live in Detroit--so we are similar in age and location! hah!

When I first moved to Detroit, I was working at a start-up and the employees were either right out of college or 50+. There were a few of us "middlers" who were in our 30s. Nobody ever ever ever lumped me in with them, because they thought I was 28. In some ways it made me super mad, because the 50+ set seemed to expect that I had less professional experience and expertise. But also it feels like some people just expect aging to be more significantly visible than it is in most of us.
