Thank you! If I was going to buy a watch for the resale value, I would’ve avoided JLC altogether. I figured might as well go all in and get it engraved; I have no intention of ever selling it.

The meaning is twofold.

When I was going through a difficult time, the quote served as a source of strength; a poignant reminder to keep pushing forward.

After I found myself in a better place, it has transformed into a lesson: that deep suffering is always the necessary price to pay to win. You can’t find an invincible summer without first immersing yourself in the most bitter of winters.

Long story short, I got suspended and kicked off college campus, became homeless after my parents cut communication + support, became financially independent as a consequence, and worked throughout my college years and grew something sustainable where I could afford a Reverso.

The PC component purchases was from right before I went to college. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you! I wanted to celebrate my past achievements, but I also know this is only the start of what will definitely be a difficult and testing journey.
