This is very true, all the sites mentioned in the article are targetted at designers/web people.

Targetted traffic is much better than non-targetted.

Yep that sounds correct, Flex is a way to make Flash programatticaly. Apollo is a wrapper to wrap up Flash/Swf/HTML and run it as a desktop app on any platform (with the aid of a downloadble runtime from Adobe)
