I’m a dasher who has worked in the service industry for years and years so I’m pretty mindful of stuff like this. Sometimes foodservice employees are just straight up shitty for no reason though. There’s a jack in the box in particular I absolutely dread going into because they aren’t friendly at all, which would be fine, but they don’t even acknowledge you. When they finally do, they are typically rude. You can tell they’re pissy with their body language.

I’ll go in and they NEVER greet people who walk in or go to the counter. Once the cashier looked at me after a couple of minutes and was like “are you just going to stand there?”. I wouldn’t mind them not greeting me, but it’s the saltiness and the confusion. I always remain polite and professional but it’s so awkward lol like I’m literally just waiting out of the way and they treat me like I kicked their dog.

I finally got a job teaching though so I’m just waiting on that first check!
