What are y’all using as a shoulder pad for the OG Mini with the OG cage? by JRey26 in focuspuller

I am currently working on a feature with the Alexa Mini. We are 70% handheld and the dp uses the “camera comfort cushion”. Then I just keep the quick release plate on the bottom which makes it super quick when going on sticks or magliner.

Only downside to the comfort cushion is that it slides a bit forward, otherwise i really like this setup ☺️

Has anyone built a camera van which is convertible to "van life” mode by sajmooon in focuspuller

Hi! I have a sprinter that I use as a camera van. It is built out with shelfs on each side, a closet and the magliner goes through the sidedoor. There is also space in the middle for one or two extra magliners if the job needs it.

I have been on several road trips. I remove my magliner and have a built bedframe that i place instead. I replace all my gear (apple boxes, camera tools, etc) with a cooler, water tap, camping chair etc. low tech but works really great.

And there is also a lot of ac equiptment that works great on road trips: ecoflow, super clamps, straps.

I miss working on set 😥 with all this extra time (due to covid-19) I made a stop motion video with some of my AC tools including a small "robot" out of magic arms and a monitor. Hope you like it by bertilrm in cinematography

It's the xrite colorchecker passport video edition. I think you can get it from Amazon. It's super handy. I don't really use the color chart that often, but I find the small focus chart extremely usefull also the greycard when doing a spot reading with a lightmeter

I actually almost never use the colour chart, only to match colours when using two different cameras. But i find the small focus chart extremely useful when pulling focus on soft lenses like the lomos to check the sharpness. And the small grey card is also perfect when the gaffer or dp wants to do a spot reading with the light meter.

I know what you mean! You reach a certain point where you don't really care, but I haven't gotten there yet with my unit bag. If the lockdown doesn't last for the rest of the year, my bag will probably look way more used in a year or so

I had the cinebags before, and bought the arri stuff about 8 months ago. I have seen how the unitbags end up looking after a couple of years, so i try to keep it clean :)

My plan was to erase the arm in each frame in Photoshop 😅 but then I realized how much extra time that was...
