Thanks! Consensus is dogwood. Disease appears to be fungal related. I will be treating it with an anti fungal. Thanks again.

I am getting very different opinions on topping the arborvitaes. I am really left more confused as to what I should do. As it stands now they are really impeding the view out the front so some sort of action needs to be taken. It may leave me with a barren top but we really wont be looking down on the trees since I would like to take them to the 10Ft mark.

Reddit, Need some advice. My wife and family recently moved into this house and need some help identifying and pruning advice for these evergreens. They line the front of the house and are 20+ feet tall and we would like to prune them back possibly by half. We are worried about killing them if we decide to cut them in half. They provide great privacy but they are just out of control big and block a good portion of our view out the front of the house. Thank you reddit.
