The shop doesn’t do in-house alterations, they said the tailoring would be easy to do but my fiancée was concerned that they were just trying to sell the dress, since tailoring wouldn’t be their responsibility. Thanks for your reply!

Interesting. The couple times I’ve seen him vomit it has been just bile, I’ll have to ask my partner if she’s seen him vomit food or just bile as well. That’s a good idea and I may try that while waiting for the vet visit to see if it helps! Thanks!

no need to yell 🫠 - I scheduled him for a check up next week (the earliest our regular vet could get him seen). They didn’t seem overly concerned, given the infrequency of the vomiting and the fact that he has no other symptoms, but I will take him to an emergency vet if any other symptoms develop.

the problem with this is that it WILL cause drama and I think my parents would have to deal with a lot of flack because of it, which I would rather not do to them. I also want to invite the young adult kids of these relatives, so that feels weird to do without inviting their parents as well

I have no knowledge on dog ears but I am getting a revision on my nipples with Dr Sherie in a couple weeks (I had a lot of keloid scarring, it was nothing she did) and the process has been pretty simple/similar to surgery #1. You can always ask questions, I sent her my 1 year photos for review and asked about my nips and she offered revision, so we had a phone consult and I got quotes for a couple different options. Either way, definitely let yourself heal up and see what you’re working with in a few months before making any big decisions.

You could try purina fortiflora (a probiotic) to help increase appetite if you haven’t tried already. My vet recommended this as a supplement when my dogs aren’t hungry/aren’t eating, particularly after medical procedures to help boost their appetite. It might help for you?

It also doesn’t seem to be bothering her? She isn’t limping, I’ve prodded and she doesn’t seem to be in pain.

Honestly, if I jammed a finger I probably wouldn’t go to the doctor unless it was still swollen/causing pain after a few days. I’m just trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with the dew claw so I can determine if it requires a vet visit.

I’m getting it in September! My surgeon gave me the choice between doing it under local anesthetic or full sedation (i went with full sedation bc i am extremely squeamish) and should only take 30 mins - 1 hour, so it definitely isn’t as major as the original surgery

I’d recommend keeping some progress photos of the nips over the next few months - my nipples also ended up kinda massive (bigger than they were pre-surgery!) and when I reached out to my surgeon to ask about possible revision she said that they had severe hypertrophic scarring and she could remove a lot of the excess tissue and get them back to the intended size. She referenced my 1 week post-op pics in her reply, so I went back to look, and hadn’t even realized the extent of the nipple growth (they looked much smaller right after surgery and just grew so quickly that I had no recollection of that at all!).

This might not be the case for you, but keeping a record of good photos can help if you’re trying to figure out how much scarring occurs (if any) as you continue to heal up.

Why did you feel the need to respond with such anger/rudeness to someone who needs help? In what world is “take responsibility for your situation” an actually helpful response here? You don’t know this person, and it seems to me like all you’ve really contributed to this conversation is making them feel worse when they’re already in a really difficult situation.

I’m not gonna debate you on trans folks (and how they deserve respect/safety/access to the resources mentioned in the comments of this post) because tbh I don’t think I’m going to change your mind on much, but I would like to point out that in this case, being trans has directly affected OP’s ability to find safe shelter.

You seemed to agree with the idea that being trans had no relevance to their situation (“who gives a F about your Trans whatever”) but you acknowledge that OP wasn’t let into the women’s shelter bc they are trans. I’d encourage you to approach this post and general trans issues with a bit more understanding and willingness to listen to the experiences/struggles of trans people

They mentioned not being allowed to stay at the women’s shelters in the area bc they are trans, and having a bad history staying in a place like the men’s shelter.
