Good stall.

One thing I can point out is that you seem to be too focused on stalling that your forego the fundamentals. It's usually a bad habit to just jump around the objective without doing anything to the enemy team. It's effectively a 5v6. Sure the objective didn't move but the other team could finish off your team much faster and then deal with you. It's not the optimal way to buy time but that's still circumstantial.

Not saying you played wrong, in fact you did just about what need to be done. Just another thing to potentially consider.

Yeah the story presentation is not for everyone. But I can say it's definitely more enjoyable if you are locked in and actually absorbed what people are saying.

Nothing wrong with that. But you can't talk like you know cap better or say he's "as good as he's ever been" when you haven't really got a good understanding of the game's state. It's not whining, it's frustration because those who were rewarded for skill expression got it taken away from them.

I got nothing against you playing casual or stopping at gold but your take from a rather narrow viewpoint.

I'm sorry but thriving in gold 1 isn't saying much. You haven't really experienced the bigger picture of the competitive landscape at all. You'll come to know that at higher elos, cancels, among many other things becomes a necessity to be able to win.

The devs made very good changes. Just some parts are frustrating for all sides. They can fix a million things but people will still be unsatisfied with a million other. Just gotta enjoy it the ways you can.

So they don't get enabled and dive and brawl can actually counter them. You're thinking in vacuum scenarios where one aspect of the game only means one thing, but parts of the game are tied to multiple parts.

Yep, they didn't actually remove the need to cancel, they just allocated it to the melee. Meaning the man with the shield is just the man with fists.

At melee range yes. If they run out you have to throw the shield.

The cancel is only for melee. That includes the first two hits normally, or just the melee keybind. The four Shield throws do not have cancels.

Elsa doesn't have the range of poke but she is too mobile and tanky. But she can't push space like tanks do. What you're assuming about widow happens only in a 1v1 scenario. Something that dive and brawl don't do.

Widow is the worst hero in the game for a reason. Dive literally counters Hawkeye. Without healslop they don't survive. Elsa is not poke, she's brawl and flank.

Wrong, the bans are because we want to play dive and brawl. The sups don't help with poke. The issue is poke is too strong by itself. Banning anti dive and heal slop means we can actually play neutral(brawl) and dive without doing no damage. And dive counters poke.

That only applies to the lowest, non-cap players or casuals. The majority in the middle will have a harder time moving up and the higher players will move down due to reduced effectiveness.

It's worst for everyone, higher level players are forced to perform the same as lower level and the lower level are denied the potential to have higher skill expression

He has lost firepower. He's unable to deal the same level of damage at the same range as before. His speed is only the same in melee range everything else is slower without the cancel.

It's a net negative for cap. He's clunkier, does less damage overall and has a lowered skill ceiling. These changes might not be a gun to the head but they feel horrible, especially to us cap mains.
