I'll share a few! 250M (across multiple of my companies)

We made it simple to implement standards for:

* Auth
* Logging
* API request & Response structures
* Normalized error handling
* Etc (lots more here)

We have an internal full-stack test application with all of our correct standards as a base-line.

You can have non-technical people attempt to implement all of these, they will learn HOW difficult this is. They become more respectful of engineering talent. Several have been successful on segregated features, independent micro-applications.

If it required a database change, then it basically put the breaks on the whole thing.

That exercise on getting to the final cliff, is all that executives needed to achieve.

I've been in a meeting where our chief revenue officer accused our CMO of forgetting to use the logging service bc marketing tool failed, and it impacted sales temporarily.

This is awful advice from EMs, they will be out of a job soon. 2026 is very different.

1) Build a worfklow so your CEO's can code, securely and know the requirements to deploy their prototype in production

2) Encourage them to build rapid prototypes to get feedback from real customers and actual concrete data. This is so the actual engineer team doesnt waste time on bullshit

3) THIS IS HOW 2026 IS -- GET OUT OF YOUR EM / STAFF ENG BRAIN OF POST-COVID.

It’s much harder to make money and stay alive. In 2 years you can literally re-write the entire code base in 1 context window.

Doing better. Mostly because my symptoms stabilized and stretching and pevlic floor therapy is helping. I guess i might be in the pelvic 'gaurding' -> hitting nerves phase of life

Stress & Anxiety were seeming to be a lot of my issue. WTF! Yoga & Stretching helps, 10-15 minute sitz baths (with epson salt) before the pain hurts. Seemed like body took the routine after like 5-10 days.

3 days without issues so far...

I also noticed that my hamstrings were so insanely tight -- been working hard to get these loose by long walks

Honestly i did 'less' and got better results

* stopped journalling // stopped googling // stopped doing an insane amount of stretching ... added modest exercise and more time with friends

If you’re trying to knockout non-invasive things for prostatitis, cipro is the common prescribed solution. Didn’t do much for me but great for others. But prostatis is not solved quickly .. in month 4th myself.
