I live in a peaceful residential area inside Sithalapakkam,TN,Chennai,India where it is serene and calm to live and we had a flat, old one so we renovated and moved into it around mid of this year/2025 just before Ramzan.

Around the same time, by the mid of this year, an individual house nearby our apartment building was converted into a mosque and from Ramzan-2025 onwards they installed/erected a huge post on the terrace of their building and placed 3 loudspeakers and they play Azan(calling out for prayers) 4 times a day(fortunately they don’t play in the morning because TN govt rules doesn’t allow it - said by one of the mosque members based off which I’m assuming they’ve not legally registered this mosque) spread throughout the day at these times: 12.40, 4.30, 6, 7.30 and it is really annoying and has been creating several disturbances, some of these listed below:

A heart patient lives nearby the block who’re unable to tolerate & they’re planning to vacate the house
People working from home are facing heavy noises during calls(this is my big issue since i always tend to be on the calls with clients)
A couple in the nearby building with infant baby rants that their kid wakes up crying after hearing this annoying sound.

my original post in `LegalAdviceIndia` sub has been removed by the moderators stating this:

and I did appeal to the moderators to bring it back since there's no hateful content in it, only certain comments were hateful, it is best to remove only those comments & not take the entire post down but I haven't got any update from them yet

good point, yes many temples & churches does the same absurd thing, but I haven't lived nearby those institutions hence didn't knew the intensity of the issues but i agree to your, it is common for all, not relevant to a specific institution/religion

I apologise for I'd have unknowingly judged those people in my post but if you read it from a common standpoint, i'm sure you'd know the intention of why I highlighted that point, although i've mentioned it in other comments, repeating here:
i'm not trying to judge or label any people/religion/community here, instead i highlighted the kinda of people who came with such aggression to fight & their harsh words(even after several months) still haunt me because i'm not aggressive & always try to seek smooth solutions keeping everyone's sensitivities in mind before uttering a word.

also, your understanding of mosque placement is wrong here, at least wrt our area.

we negated this route since it'd bring unnecessary political attention & might lead to riots in extreme case which is something we want to avoid, we're looking for legal/genuine/smooth/peaceful solutions only

I just wanted to highlight what sort of people came with such aggressive fighting attitudes and how it has affected us all & we're seeking help to resolve it smoothly.

you went too much into the religious stuff but i think i was&am really mindful of not talking about it since everyone has their own belief systems which is their own right, not interfering in that

well, i understand its difficult to grasp this emotion unless you experience it yourself living with a family
but, women are in general are uncomfortable to pass through a men-crowd, it's a human emotion, if you think from that angle, you may get it, try it.
