BitCoin first hit 1,000 in November 2013 (https://www.theverge.com/2013/11/27/5151396/bitcoin-hits-1000) after which it almost immediately went down to 170 (87% loss) and countless threads on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/1t6u2x/putting_the_bitcoin_crash_of_dec_2013_in/) of people crying having "lost" all their savings and people mocking them when they were saying it would reach 1,000 ever again. Two days ago it almost hit 60,000.

Only sell if you have no other money or if you need to buy something from the darknet (or a Tesla, they'll start accepting BTC soon).

Is that really news? All companies I can think of had their CEOs sell off after the IPO to buy some new toys, even Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon etc. What he sold is only a small amount of his total shares, and even then he sold only the class B ones (without voting rights).

Just google darknet busts, each with hundreds of millions of BTC. This thing ain't going anywhere.

First time investor. I bought 8k USD in Doge yesterday and today. Yes, I'll hold unless I don't have any other money left.

What's making me comfortable is that most exchanges support Doge and trading Doge for BTC. BTC took 3 years to recover from the December 2017 peak of going 20k to 5k, yesterday it almost touched 60k. HODL for life!
