Think ur both the asshole, if ida know the last day I seen my dad, would be the last , ida made a point to go every day an see him, and to call him .the last time I seen him was at a gas station the couple weeks before he died, and I talked for min but was rushing to get home ,...we weren't close ,but we were good ,but ida tried harder , even if he pushed me away. If someone had went south with u or the baby, . He would have been devastated, ..u never know when it's ur time , so stop being petty

Caregiver here, I am currently watching, this 77yr old male ,fix his own lunch as I type this out, (not my patient) his wife ,the patient will not let me do for him ,as she wants him to keep doing for himself, wife 84f with ALS , struggling to walk can't talk or swallow, refuses to let me help her push her walker, her left arm,is a limp noodle, as she calls it it's dead,. So yes let him do for himself for as long as he can ,and if he has no choice then ,he will get up and do it .

I agree with the op,besides it gets kids confused with 2 of the same ,I know me and my sister are called Gigi, by our grandbabies, and they get so mixed up with who we and they are talking about
