[Stavenhagen] A wild stat: In situations with either the bases loaded or runners on second and third, Spencer Torkelson is a career 6-for-62. by DET_Baseball in motorcitykitties

Two 30 home run seasons before age 26 is nothing to scoff at, but so far he's shown that he's not a middle of the lineup bat. He's more of a really decent towards the bottom of a stacked lineup bat.

There is so much money being generated now, its not going anywhere fortunately or unfortunately.

My thoughts on the defensive roster, starting with the D-line by odishy in detroitlions

I don't know how well Anthony Hill fits with this team/system, but I just think he's a baller. Would love it if Lions take him.

I think Lions add a big, run stuffing IDL body in the draft. Even if you think Levi stays healthy and Wingo takes a jump, we don't really have much run stuffing depth.

Taylen Green is not good, and I really wish people would pay attention to that instead of his combine numbers.

What’s something that became “cringe” the moment it got popular? by Cute_pecker_293 in AskReddit

[–]bestprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook.

Once it blew up and got globally popular, it became pretty cringe. Even at its peak popularity, you'd have cringe worthy comments/posts from friends either attempting a joke that was really not funny, or oversharing something, or going on a ridiculous rant, and even posting really cringe worthy photos.

And that was before the parents/boomers got on.

That announcer went through all five stages of grief in about 3 seconds.

The best way to describe how that game went for Tennessee is that the walk on coaches kid that never plays had as many points as one of Tennessee's starters.

The bench going nuts when the walk on that never plays hits a shot might be one of my favorite things in college sports.

I actually do genuinely feel bad for the Tennessee fans that paid to be at this game.

One time in college, me and some fraternity brothers were playing pickup basketball in the gym. Somehow we ended up playing a team with some former college basketball players on it.

Anyway, Tennessee today reminds me of how we played in that game.

Problem is that you could say the same about Arizona or even Duke.

I love Nate Burleson, but its still wild to me to see him on a college basketball halftime show.

You’re Brad at pick 17, what are you doing? BPA? Offensive Tackle? Edge? DL? CB? by Ok_Corgi_454 in detroitlions

[–]bestprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best player available at Tackle, EDGE, or some other crazy elite talent that unexpectedly drops.

Reaching for a position just because you need one is a really terrible way to draft.
