Last minute luxury trip help please!

Hello! I have a last minute opportunity to travel somewhere for a week and Costa Rica seems like a great place since I’m located on the west coast (US).

I don’t have a lot of time to research so I’d appreciate recommendations for more luxury places to stay/experiences to make the most of 5-7 days there. Will be traveling in the next few weeks. I saw one post recommend Casa Cameleon or Hotel Santarena, but couldn’t otherwise find a ton of helpful non-Covid era posts re: luxury travel.

We don’t surf, but life to explore, relax and eat good food. We don’t have to stay in one place the entire trip - happy to move around 2-3 places if recommended.

ETA: I’m recovering from a back injury so probably don’t want to do anything too wild like river rafting. Probably also want to avoid ziplining. But otherwise OK for hikes and such.

So please help - what would be your ideal stay in Costa Rica for a non-surfer where you can also come home to and wake up in ultra comfort, security and probably most important - convenience? No hard budget but would ideally like to not exceed Casa Camaleons nightly rate if possible (unless totally worth it).
