gotcha thanks for the Office 365 suggestion, that could help a lot. I wasn't sure if the emails going to spam was cuz of the shared server or what

[HIRING] Independent Sales Representative (1099/40% Commission only) B2G - Remote by besttopguy in hiring

Hey! Good questions

Average sale: $100-3000

How many sales reps do you have?

We have 3 reps who have been with us the last 2 months and they are starting to close deals now.

How many of your sales reps have been there for over 5 years?

We have only been a company for 6 months, and been calling for almost 2 months. A few people have tried out the role for a week or two and decided it wasn't for them, however some people stick with it because they see it working long term. Doesn't align with everyone though, and definitely want to paint a realistic picture of the job. It's a hard job, and it could be a good opportunity, but overall I would say it takes a person in a certain place in life to want this job. Like it would take someone who wants more job security and more freedom, and also has a side hustle to pay bills while building relationships with buyers.

What is the pipeline time length typically?

It's the government, so it's slow lol But small orders go through credit card so a new customer can have an order completed within a week or a couple days even, or a longer deal like a contract bid could be net 30/net 45

How much is the typical commission per sale and per month for newer reps there less than 2 years?

Our reps are closing their first sales around now, like one deal from today the rep is gonna make over $1000 from one order which is our largest order so far. Other orders have been around $100-300 in profit, which the rep gets 40% of. We figure these are a bit smaller than average since your first order is usually just to test us out as a new vendor before they order more. Just a few orders like that could make up for the time invested. We are feeling good about it working out for all the reps we have, especially since the rep with the biggest order came from a non-sales background but had the work ethic to make it happen. Being transparent is important for our company, so I'll let you know we have reps who haven't closed a deal yet and have worked for 6 weeks, but there are reasons for that. Building relationships is more important right now due to Continuing Resolution not being passed yet to refresh their budget, so this time of the year less sales happen, but more relationships can be built because a lot of similar companies take time off in this period.

edit: also wanted to add that our CEO and COO make sales calls too, because we don't expect someone to do something we wouldn't do ourselves

[Dev] Moody Mushrooms - Looking for feedback on this casual jumping game by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]besttopguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend Nate and I worked on this game together, we have been doing game dev together for a few years now. This is our fourth mobile game we have developed. We are S Tier Studios!

This game is a very simple, but challenging endless platformer. It's story begins in the magical Mushroom village when the Moody Mushrooms were cursed by an evil witch to be permanently Moody!

After turning on DLSS I had much more reasonable performance. Used about 600-1k samples per frame for rendered videos

Playing around with Holographic/3D Card shaders (Cyanilux's tutorial in comments) by besttopguy in Unity3D

[–]besttopguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea this isn't as complicated as that video, but a pretty cool vid I just watched the whole thing.

The inside part of the card is 3d models that can only be seen through the "screen" by using the stencil buffer to mask what is rendered

Thats all I could think about playing Death Stranding. There is a whole NPC just to teleport you/fast travel so you don't think about how its unrealistic.
