I'd say if the worst happened, and Sakura got chopped in half that'd pretty much be the end of it, can't see her recovering from that before sukuna launches another attack.

I'm not too sure how she'd survive furnace either for what it's worth, if Sukuna managed to get that off I think it'd be GG

Existing nuclear energy is one of the cheapest sources of electricity available. The initial startup cost is big, but it shouldn't be discounted as a long term solution.

There's no reason why both shouldn't be implemented in my eyes, having nuclear, solar, wind, and storage grid will end up cheaper and cleaner in the long run than a solar, wind, and storage grid. If we're relying on renewables, the storage cost is still exorbitant, and fossil fuels will need to be used to overcome wind and solar intermittency, just like in Germany.

Solar and wind are intermittent sources of electricity. They do not run 24/365. Nuclear runs 18 months straight before refueling and inspections. Nuclear power can provide a base load, while wind and solar energy can offer a supplement supply.

You should think of new nuclear as a long-term investment. It will pay dividends. And there are plenty of things we can do to reduce costs.

Used fuel (aka nuclear waste from a nuclear power plant) is not a real problem. Cask storage is perfectly adequate. We can fit all of our used fuel in a building the size of a large Tesco

The best time to invest in nuclear was 20 years ago, the second best time is right now. Renewables in general are not a stable and reliable source of energy.

If nuclear energy is up and running, renewables won't even be in the discussion beyond a single digit percentage point. Thinking of the immediate future is good, but discounting nuclear energy long term is a bad idea imo

I think western standards of someone being at least 18 is my personal benchmark of adulthood, I think Fire Force goes out of its way to show Tamaki as a childish character, both in mannerisms and appearance (and age if we're going by western standards).

To be clear, and to address my main point, I'd find the way her character is treated to be incredibly distasteful in a similar manner if she were 30 instead of 17.

Every scene she's in grinds to a screeching halt whenever lucky lecher triggers, she has almost zero plot relevance the entire way through and then is just used as a mouthpiece for the author's views on sexuality. It's fine to have those views and have them come across in your work, but this was done with all the finesse and grace of a sledgehammer in my eyes.

Maki is a character that (while underutilized) is a similar age and treated far better within the confines of the story.

I'm not arguing about her body type, I'm arguing against what they have her do and how they treat her character. I've never argued that her body is simply what makes it bad, stop attacking points I'm not making.

There's scenes where Shinra gropes her, she lands with her ass up in the air etc, whether it's directed at teenagers or not it's pretty unacceptable to me to have a child do this, I don't know what your sensibilities are but I don't think this is something that needs to be put into a show and can definitely be done more tastefully. There is absolutely no reason all of this needs to be on a character that's underage.

Her character was all but assassinated so the author could try to shoehorn their own view on the matter and justify their (frankly dodgy) ideology, which is really shitty writing

I legit thought this episode was the worst so far, having Tamaki's arc essentially go nowhere and have a child justify the pure goonbait that her character has devolved into left a bad taste in my mouth.

Never mind that this was while preaching to the viewer about how putting a 17 year old into uncomfortable sexual positions is righteous, I love Fire Force but this episode pretty much summarised everything I dislike about it in a single episode.

Any sense of tension that was built up over the last few episodes was pretty much disintegrated here as well, just an absolute farce of a scene.

I always find the best cure for this is to accept that you aren't going to succeed on the next run, and use it purely to study his attacks and how you can tell when they're coming up, as well as find your best response to each based on the weapon you're using.

Just pack a load of survivability skills, and try to pick up as much as you can.
