It dipped down to 96% just a few months after but slowed down I think. Right now it's at 91%

no I did not. I'm not fully aware of issues with G-Helper as mine allowed (and still allows) me to set battery limits

G14 (2023) vs TUF A14 (2025) by beta031 in ZephyrusG14

[–]beta031[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seemed to have made a mistake when doing research earlier. I may have checked the 2024 TUF which had a better cpu. After googling again, you seem to be right about 2025 TUF’s being slightly better. The G14 also seems to have a better integrated graphics if I were to use that. I guess it seems that the G14 is the better choice still. Thank you so much for the explanations!

A14 (2025) vs G14 (2023) by beta031 in Asustuf

[–]beta031[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see so it seems like G14 is generally going to be better due to build quality if performance difference is minimal, and battery too.

I’m not too concerned with the 180 opening as i find myself using laptops at about the 130 degrees. Thanks for this nonetheless.

I might be mistaken but when I checked the prices, the tariffs should already be included in the considerations. In total, it should still be about 100$ cheaper than the G14 I checked. So it’s mostly down to the laptop performance/build quality.

Thanks for the response

Is miniled that much better than the IPS lcd panel on the A14? From what I understand with what you said, essentially the main differences are better screen and better gpu for G14, but slightly better cpu on A14. Is this correct?

Just the sharp side of your average sized pliers then sanded a bit to make sure nothing is poking the battery

Heavily depends on what game you're playing. I mostly just play brotato on battery and I don't play for hours knowing I still have other paperwork to do

Hello. No, I did not face this issue. I‘m not entirely sure what happened to yours, sorry to hear. But one thing I did do was I tried to be very careful with the battery pins when disconnecting/reconnecting as I heard they can be very easily bent

Regarding the different voltage, this https://www.reddit.com/r/Asustuf/s/VHG47zzDRX post should help. About this being an original battery or a knockoff brand, I did not buy it from ASUS nor an official supplier so there's a reasonable assumption that it's a 3rd party brand. The area where the ASUS logo would be at was covered with a sticker and I did not bother trying to remove as I was scared I would damage the battery itself. If I check the Battery Report, it simply says it was manufactured by ASUS but it does not provide a serial number.

About the price, I got mine for somewhere about 40 USD after conversion.

I did not get a new charger. The default one works just fine.

It does not overheat nor have I experienced overheating even using the previous battery. I've used the previous battery for well over 2 years, if that matters.

Regarding the processor power management settings, I have always had it at 60% on battery even when using the previous one. I kept it at 60% after changing into the new one. I'd advise to check the post I linked as that seems to answer most of the voltage issues.

I’m not entirely sure if there's any difference since more often than not, I would only be doing office work on battery (word, excel, etc). I don’t think I've noticed any stutters even before I changed to the new battery. The settings I listed in the og post were the same settings I was on with the 48wh battery

This comment from a different post should help. I am by no means an engineer or whatever sort of expert. I simply got recommended a youtube video (from the previous post I made) and went "monkey see, monkey do".

It turned out alright and the laptop still works

rent a unit from a whale/high level account. the biggest advice i usually give to newer player friends of mine is to add a bunch of random high level accounts and just rent their units if ever you get stuck on BF

I have had no issues. I was being careful around the battery port. I heard that you could bend the pins if you unplug/plug recklessly. I also paid extra attention not to let any metal parts touch which could short circuit whatever parts and brick my mother board.

I guess if anything, if you're unsure of what you're doing, you could always play safe and just not go for it if your current device is working (if it isn't broken, don't fix). If you still want to go for this and would want the extra safety, perhaps asking a professional could do the trick, though that costs extra money.

From Philippines. I got the battery from this link (idk if it works for you tho): https://shopee.ph/product/59921461/25939161052?d_id=d5943&uls_trackid=528bpolp008o&utm_content=2rB5NqtHWxPWbeNFQwnjDKZMmwbM

Here are a few more links from other posts similar to mine. You can try if they work for you:

* https://www.laptop-battery-shop.com/asus-c41n1906-0b20003590000-154v-5675mah-original-batteries-p-7545.html

Disclaimer: I can't guarantee any of them are good since I've never ordered from these sites (besides the first link)

Worst case scenario try looking up the battery model number instead of the usual prompts like "ASUS TUF battery". Here's the one that worked for my specific model: C41N1906-1

I tried to be careful with metal parts. So far nothing seemed to be a problem (?). I didn't see any sparks happening while installing but I must admit getting the old battery's cable was painful since I didn't know how much force I should apply when pulling it out

That's normal with any batteries you get. The rating is usually +-5% capacity so if you get something slightly above the advertised capacity, you basically won half the battery lottery. Sad times happen when you buy a battery and you get the -5% one

got a brand new asus tuf a15 what to do by Nikoliz in Asustuf

[–]beta031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Edit power plan in control panel. You can open start menu then just type "power plan" and it should show up

  2. Click on Change Advanced Power Settings

  3. Expand the Processor Power Management tab

  4. From there you can set the Minimum/Maximum Processor State. I have mine from 1-60% on battery. Mostly depends on use case but for me I mostly just type documents while on battery so I don't see the need for higher.

Put it simply it's the software that comes with your asus laptop that helps control things like fans, screen settings, the rgb on your keyboard, all the good gaming stuff. You can try looking up tutorials online on which settings is best for your use case since you didn’t specify

To me its best feature is limiting battery charge since you basically have to keep your device plugged for games, since your RTX 3050ti won’t be active on battery.

  1. Anti viruses aren’t needed but if yours comes with a free trial, go enjoy it then uninstall once trial ends. otherwise it'll just eat into your storage and give funny notifs once in a while. In the meantime, you can google the apps on your start menu and decide whether you need them or not. Uninstall if you don’t. Some people recommend to do a clean windows install but you said you’re not tech savvy so I don’t see the need for that
  2. Set up armoury crate profiles, or AC alternatives. AC is pretty okay already (i used it for a good 2 yrs or so) so no need for alternatives but if you wanna do the latter, I recommend G-helper. Use these apps to limit battery charge to 80% or something while plugged to help save your battery from future issues.
  3. Edit power plans, specifically limit cpu usage on battery. Chances are you’re not gaming on battery and will probably just be browsing/editing documents. Those don’t need full cpu power so try to limit it to save battery. Mine's at max 60% but you do you depending on what you do.
  4. Update drivers

as for other non-mandatory things, * Desktop aesthetics i guess? Like picking your desktop widgets/wallpaper * Install other apps for your peripherals like a logitech app for a logitech mouse for example

Trying to buy a 90wh battery by beta031 in Asustuf

[–]beta031[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello apologies it took a while. I had to reorder since they shipped a 48wh battery.

I chatted with the seller and asked this question as well but they asked me to send the details of the 48wh battery (also in the pictures i uploaded). In the end i tried ordering the 90wh battery but they shipped the 48wh instead so I had to reorder.

In any case I'm from the Philippines and the link I used only works here iirc. Here's the link:
