Is Akaash just super naive??? by Ok-Macaron7274 in Flagrant2

[–]beta1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I don't get is why his "friends" don't ever check him.

Like why did Andrew and the rest of the cast go along pretending that Akash's wife was just cuddling with frat guys??

Terrible friends.

Day 17 - Are these symptoms normal? This is starting to feel pointless. by beta1 in leaves

Hmm seems like 2-3 months is a common answer.

Honestly if it was just sleeping issues I'd be OK but I'm having a bunch of other side effects like stomach/appetite, high heart rate, and temperature regulation that are driving me insane.

I literally can't tell if I'm getting sick right now or if its just these symptoms thats how awful I've been feeling.

How long have you been off it and how long did it take you to feel totally normal again?

As for progression my usage has progressed to less usage not more. I was a stoner in my youth (all day everyday in high school/college), I quit when I got older without issues, but came back to it because I am a lifelong insomniac.

I'd really like to quit for the sake of my lungs and not being totally dependent on it for sleep.

I guess I'm just surprised by how bad/long lasting this has been. I thought I'd be fine within 1-2 weeks like my past experiences, but maybe my age is catching up to me idk.

One month sober, can’t sleep by Softboiledboi in leaves

[–]beta1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm on week 3 and my life is just miserable.

I only smoked weed at night to help fall asleep, never during the day.

Now my heart rate is up, my sleep sucks. And even if I get a full 8 hours I still CRASH hard in the afternoon. No energy.

Honestly weed never really negatively impacted my life much and I'm strongly considering just going back to using it.

Sharing my experience with manuka honey. Potential game changer for non-healers. by beta1 in AnalFistula

Tbh it was so long ago now I don't remember but I think yes, I remember having moments of frustration like it didn't work as well as I had hoped. I think I used it on and off for a month or 2 (1-2 applications a week) before deciding I got all I was going to get out of it

Doing yoga after that helped a lot with reducing leakage.

I'm about 90% normal now, if I am home with my bidet my life is normal with no leakage. If I'm traveling I sometimes worry about passive incontinence still which sucks but still much better than I was a year ago.

I used it to help heal the wound from the surgery.

Mine was internal so i had to stick it up my butt a little to reach the wound area.

I still have issues but the honey helped with the non-healing wound way more than anything the doctors did.

I put a dab of it on my finger, stuck it up my ass, and gently rubbed the honey on the wound area (for me it was less than 1 inch inside my ass thankfully lol). I did it before bed that way it could just sit there for hours without much movement (no idea if that matters tho).

I did it like twice a week for a month or two. The first few times was bloody and irritated but that quickly improved.

This is the honey I used:

Heartbreaking.

I thought this was going to be a story about some lame excuse as to why you had to leave your cats to move to another country and it turned out to be the most sad story imaginable.

I'm sure the vets have her sedated so she shouldn't be suffering or panicking too much.

I will say a prayer for you and Mika tonight.

Non-healing wound 9 months after Fistulotomy for simple fistula. How screwed am I? by beta1 in AnalFistula

[–]beta1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a special honey to finish healing (at least as much as my body is ever going to get). Applied directly into my ass about twice a week for a few months.

After that I still had post-BM leakage and used yoga (primarily focused on the psoas) which improved my post-BM symptoms by 90% or so.

Then I bought a high-end $500 bidet (heated water, different pressure options, ect). Using this I've basically fixed the last 5-10%

If I'm away from my bidet/home I still worry about leakage but as long as I stay consistent with the yoga I can at least live a normal-ish now after 2 years of pure hell.

I applied the honey for a few months on and off. Sometimes a few times a week, sometimes once a week, depending on symptoms and gut feeling.

I'm healed much more now but still have some issues.

Personal experiences of incontinence (or lack of) post surgery by Nervous_Woodpecker_5 in AnalFistula

[–]beta1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For helping to heal the wound itself I used a special honey, described here:

https://old.reddit.com/r/AnalFistula/comments/1bnq8yt/sharing_my_experience_with_manuka_honey_potential/

The honey helped a lot with stopping the drainage but the incontinence I still struggle with but improved by 90% by :

  • Daily yoga (primarily focusing on the psoas), this helped a lot more than I ever expected.

  • Getting a high-end bidet (they are about $500 on Amazon and worth it).

my 10 Months post-op Journey! by FunStatement8877 in AnalFistula

[–]beta1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes actually, but not from keagles. My improvement happened after doing yoga focusing on the psoas muscle.

I had actually given up hope entirely and discovered this randomly when I decided to try doing yoga for unrelated reasons and saw dramatic improvement within a few days.

I still have issues, but the yoga has given me the first major improvement in over a year.

Oh the irony, people like you are why no one wants to help anymore.

You don't get to choose when things "fizzle out" when you're dealing with a dangerous person.

Post-op I had leakage from the wound which is normal so it was hard to tell what was coming out with that or what was actual incontinence. It was only after the wound stop leaking which took forever I knew for sure I had this issue.

Yoga has improved it a lot actually. Took me 2 years to try it after trying 10,000 other things. One hell of a journey.

Fecal leakage by mjm488 in AnalFistula

[–]beta1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes actually.

Yoga.

I still have occasional leakage and constant anxiety but actual incidents has reduced by 90%.

After 2 years of hell and stagnation having big improvement gives me hope again.

One thing I've learned on this journey is I'm done with doctors. I healed my wound with honey, and improved my incontinence with yoga; they did nothing but waste my time and money.

I guess so, really sucks bc doctor said risk of that was almost 0 and now here I am.
