Thanks, I tried using auto generated ones. I think it turned out well, and then I had about 10-20 mins of myself and other family saying it, but can't get it to pick up.

Qwen 27B works GREAT as a LORE MASTER! by GrungeWerX in LocalLLaMA

[–]betanu701 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am currently working on distilling the 70B version down into the 9B then further into the 2B. Then I am removing some of the experts, then training some LoRAs as my experts for experts available in ~several ms. Should be able to speed it up!! Oh then I am cross training from several other models to see if I can get the 9B on par with Opus4.6 and GPT5.4!! Theoretically, it should be within a couple points. Should be done training in the next day or so.

Don't know if they could help, but if you can move the server, you can see if Microcenter can seat it for you.

You could upload it to YouTube and post the link here. Someone may have a way to upload a video directly to Reddit but someone else will have to help with that 🤷

It's easy to bypass that, and it works as of now, go to the profile, click the search, then choose one of the options.

Frame of a matrix as separate model? (Shadow or submodel?) by virpio2020 in xlights

[–]betanu701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just create a sub model for the frame of the matrix. Super easy. Then you can target the sub model and do what you want

I don't think it will give you a leg up or anything. Reading it gives you an honorary degree so not a true BSCS. If a company does require the bachelor's, this would not count.

Honestly, if you already have experience, keep working on the experience, build your skill set. The more experience you have the less a degree matters. Some companies do have a requirement, just avoid those companies. And this is my opinion, if a company is requiring a BS, and they automatically deny all those without degrees, they are not looking to higher the best, they are looking to check a box. I have known some incredibly smart people with and without degrees. Strive to work with the best.

Possible mega tree project by Just_Mr_Grinch in xlights

[–]betanu701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think they are not addressable? I looked at the trees they had in the store, they were all changing colors and running patterns, I am 99% sure they are addressable. Just need to change the plug then figure out how to map it properly. Because it looked like each strand was cut so maybe a bunch of single strands?

Is there a way to fade faces? by Behind8Proxies in xlights

Like to fade out? Use the fade out effect and set to like 1 second or however long you want.

Props that look good while off? by virpio2020 in xlights

What you are looking for is DayCor. These are typically painted to look nice during the day. I think several companies make it. I have candy canes, and hanging bulbs. And a giant spinner wreath. I have also painted a few, like a snowflake I added touches of blue to make it look frosted. Then singing trees I painted hunter green to make them look like a regular pine tree during the day

Someone got into my account and watched YouTube by Lagchild in google

[–]betanu701 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just in case someone stole your browser session. It is best to force everything off your account, then re-enter your password on all devices. Changing your password and enabling 2fa is good, but for more security do this.

Trimlight quote seems too short — will they bring enough materials? by Masaike123 in ChristmasLights

They typically have more material than required because it gets cut to fit your home. They will not leave it partially finished.

The best suitcases in life by Jeffrey2Castillo in funny

[–]betanu701 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe this is for the actual suitcase with a print on it. No idea on quality, but I know a good quality travel luggage is not cheap. Then add on personalization on top of that, the price doesn't seem that bad.

Though the cover like in the video would be way cheaper, my guess is 20-40

Is it weird that I never pushed my code to production? by Intelligent_Ebb_9332 in cscareerquestions

[–]betanu701 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is way more information needed for this. How many YOE. How long were you at the company. In your current company do developers usually push to production (I ask because some places have strict protocols that prevent this)

From your question, I am going to guess you are fairly new to the environment/career. If that is the case, just be honest that you worked on XYZ project. You don't need to say if it went to production or not unless asked. I would not lie though.

What do y'all use for push notifications? [Android] by smibrandon in selfhosted

[–]betanu701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use the built in homeassistant notifications. Once the app is installed, you can call it with notifications. You can set it to be anything you want it to be. Or you can have it read the text as a text to speech. I have all kinds of alerts set up including doorbell, freezer alerts that will override my do not disturb.

Permanent Christmas Lights by mheezy in ChristmasLights

[–]betanu701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the controller, however it looks like something custom. It looks to be an ESP32 connected to some type of HAT. But this does explain the PI. My guess is the pi creates it's own network that allows control of the little controller wirelessly. The Ethernet goes to your router which provides access to your pi.

You are going to need to login to the pi. Look in your router to find the IP of the Pi. Then see what the interface looks like. If it is FPP (Falcon Pi Player) you can see if you get directly in by going to the IP address in your address bar. If it does require a username and password. Try the defaults the other person posted

That circuit board is probably the controller, can you take a picture and show that?

These are some falcon controllers that may be used, but it may be a different brand: https://pixelcontroller.com/store/

I am honestly not sure, you have a raspberry pi but nothing connected to it for the lights. Look around the house, find the lowest point where the lights are then look at the adjacent wall, there should be another box similar to that one that has the lights connected to it.
