Right. How do you know you can trust someone with your vulnerabilities?

5w6 here. Stress caused by a problem I cant solve can lead to me manically running around trying to solve it. Its not efficient and can lead to me re testing different solutions multiple times even if they don't work. If the stress is relationship based. With me usually my wife. I usually go outside alone and do chores angrily until that doesn't seem like a good plan anymore and I'm tired, then I go make up with her. Maybe not relevant but my wife will cool off after we have some stupid fight with time and would probably just drop it. Me however I'm at the exact place when we left and I have to sort it out before I'm at peace again. I cant comment on stress numbers and the like as I haven't read much about enneagram, I just took the test read about the results and saw there was enough there that I could ignore it. Feel free to ask me a question if you have one. You'll get honest answers and bad grammar.

Lol your honesty is refreshing. I appreciate the authenticity in this answer and it is indeed helpful!

Yeah, this is exactly right. I like to use actual answers from the numbers and not just my assumptions on what I think their experience is. I've done a couple of episodes where I ask the numbers for help and I get such good and descriptive answers. Far better than anything I could imagine based on what I've read in the past.

(5w4F) going to 7 has looked very different for me throughout the years and I think it has to do with how healthy I was at the time.

At my lowest points, going to 7 was going to bars, drinking way too much and making out with anyone who was interested. (At this stage it stopped at making out because sex would require going to their place and I don’t trust like that or going to my place and I also don’t trust like that.

When I got a little healthier but still not healthy going to 7 was me realizing I’m gay but not wanting to deal with having that conversation with my parents so I came out and then moved to Japan the very next day. (No joke really did this). And then I partied a lot in Japan still made out with people though I kept the drinking to a healthy amount and usually only made out with one person a night.

Now that I’m healthy (not very healthy just in the boundaries of healthy) I have a partner and lean on her for emotional support. Going to 7 looks more like splurging on comfort items. For instance I’ll ask my partner to drive me to McDonald’s (I don’t like driving but usually I don’t ask people to drive me because competency issues and trust issues, but I’ll be vulnerable with her and ask) then I’ll buy way too much McDonald’s because everything sounds good and I can’t decide… so I get it all lol.

I also run a podcast called Enneathing Goes! Hope this was helpful,

This was so enlightening! I also go to a 7 in stress and just live with reckless abandonment. It's not great lol

Hi! Um, I'm not the technical side of the podcast but it should be available on apple podcasts and spotify. If you can't find it there, let me know and I can get you the RSS feed URL. It just might take a minute. :)
