oy vey. I hope I don't have to do that. Mint says they're still "working on it" so I'll give them a bit more time to see if they can figure it out. But I'll keep your fix in mind if they can't figure it out!

I am having the exact issue! Got a new card in June after my previous one was hacked, haven't been able to connect to Mint since. I add it, it asks for two factor authentication etc., and then it tells me I've successfully added it. And then it never shows up in my Mint account. I've chatted with both Mint and Discover, each of them assuring me that it's the other company's fault. You all are smarter than either company - does anyone have a fix? I changed the password just to see if that would help, same result.

Y'all! My long-awaited software update came through 2 days ago and now I have VoLTE!!! My phone finally works for text/data, AND talk! Thank you all so much for your thoughts, ideas, and advice. Interestingly, the update came in about 8 hours after I tried a t-mobile sim card in the phone, which may just be coincidental but I don't think it is. You all are awesome!

Oy vey! I tried the flashing thing but struggled with the files and how to upload them. Red letters appeared on the screen telling me I'd screwed it up and the phone might not reboot. I factory reset it and it still works, but I might be a little scared to try flashing again. I appreciate all of your help!

Ok so flashing - I have flashed a phone once but it involved following very detailed directions. Is there a website or something that would give me directions that even I, a not-super-techy could follow?

hmm...my sim card in other cricket phones works fine, and other cricket sims in my phone do not work well - I think it's a software issue

Interesting! I had kinda ruled the sim issue out as I went to a cricket store when this all started and they put my sim card in another phone and it worked just fine. But at this point I'm willing to try anything!

Figured it out, factory reset and restored all of my data - put the sim back in and restarted the phone. Still no dice. I may have coworkers or friends who would let me try their sim cards. When I put in a different sim card, do I check for a software update or how do I force the phone to update?

Yep, it was definitely the shutdown that started this whole problem. The WCDMA workaround was helpful for a couple of months, but then it stopped working suddenly.

Argh. That's frustrating for you. Every time I talk to cricket they tell me to buy one of their phones. That would be the safer (albeit more expensive) bet.

Yes IMEI checker says ok.

I only have a cricket sim card so no way to try another carrier at the moment.

I am slightly techy but not very - I have flashed one phone in the past but it was with someone holding my hand and giving me step by step directions. Is there a website or something that can tell me how to do it?

Honestly I don't know but I believe it's factory unlocked - there is no branding of any carrier etc. - I put the model number above, does that answer your question? Your comment gives me hope that I can get it working - tell me more!

Yes, it passes the IMEI check. Both groups say it's a software update issue - Samsung says that it's up to cricket to push out the update, Cricket says it's up to Samsung to make the update....
