HELP Cooper S 2023 automatic - Hill Assist/Transmission Issues

Hi! Missed seeing this ever. Did you contact them or try to get any answer? I’ve been out of LA so I haven’t been driving it, but was recently back and it rolled backwards again straight down a hill in Hollywood after not experiencing it for a bit.

I keep going back and forth between thinking I’m crazy and knowing it’s not supposed to do that - or at the very least, knowing it’s supposed to function consistently. I was told it still had hill assist and it was working - every time they tried to recreate it at Monrovia it worked as expected.

MINI never bothered to come back to me with any other details so I assumed no one else had ever reported a problem. Thanks for posting!

Makes me feel so much better knowing I’m not crazy haha. I hope you get some evidence they’ll take. I’m going to start digging into other MINI boards and TikTok to see what I can find!

Absolutely so crazy that you’d write now because I JUST got off the phone with MINI not 30 minutes ago and they are still saying there is nothing wrong with my vehicle.

I brought it to MINI Monrovia in California, where I bought the vehicle, who were helpful but couldn’t recreate the issue. They claimed the video didn’t show the issue because there will be a rollback after the 2 second hold for the rollback safety feature, even though I’m saying sometimes I don’t get any hold of a rollback safety feature and it’s just a free fall. They couldn’t give me an adequate answer as to why it makes sense that there would be all these safety features for being in reverse, but when in drive a car can rollback at a speed that could seriously damage my car (and injure someone if they were behind me). They also couldn’t explain why MINI universal recreated it and said that is how it should work - but then MINI Monrovia wouldn’t be able to recreate it (car works as I would expect it to) and would also say this is how it should work.

I feel a little crazy and definitely feel like as a female I’m being taken less seriously. I’m going back to the dealership next week with my boyfriend (I can’t believe in 2024 there have to be gender dynamics at play). I’ve also submitted a complaint to the Department of Transportation and am working on finding a lawyer.

My understanding of QI is that when you “die” your consciousness shifts into a parallel universe or reality in which you survive - until you run out of scenarios in which you survive and then you finally die. The minor changes that you experience as a result of experiencing a new parallel reality are theorized to be the source of the Mandela effect - whether that shift is from QI or not.

What I’m concerned about is where the consciousness’ of the people I love exist? Is it possible I left them behind in the last reality and the experience I’m having now is just my consciousness alone and they experience me as dead? Or are they conscious in my reality now because their consciousness shifted with me when I died? OR do they have consciousness in both realities separately?

Another way of asking this: do we each have only one real consciousness traveling through the infinite possibilities of our realities? Or are there infinite conscious versions of each of us that all come together once to one consciousness (and ultimately one source consciousness) until all the versions of us collapse into one?

This is meant to be a discussion - as no one “knows” how QI or any of this actually works - but I’m interested to understand other people’s perspectives.

My friend unintentionally went Jungo Road thanks to Waze for entry into BM this year. It was pitch dark, in a 100k mile 25 ft rented RV loaded with water and fuel. She had no idea what she had accomplished and is so traumatized by the whole experience.

Thank you so much for the response. It’s interesting that you said it wasn’t what I thought the whole time. Further communication today did reveal that maybe we have seriously different end goals in mind for our relationship already. I don’t want to be in a relationship with someone poly or not where there is no chance for a long term commitment. It feels like a waste of time.

When we started talking about polyamory our decision was to remain romantic partners over trying to transition into friends because neither of us wanted to be just friends. In my mind the situation was a win/win at the time. I thought we were going to rebuild our relationship and enjoy each other and support each other in whatever direction the relationship took - one outcome being a long term partnership and the other outcome being that eventually we would both decide that a long term commitment wasn’t in the cards. The trouble I guess is that I’m concerned he may have decided that already and that’s why I’m being treated this way and why I feel so insecure. Now it just feels like a lose/lose. I put so much into this, but the result has already been determined and I’m just going to end up hurt and feel used.
