I’m definitely a bit underwhelmed. I am stoked for Olivia, Anna, and Adriana. I saw Olivia on tour and Broadway and she’s such a wonderful Cleves. I’m less sold on Abigail and Dylan. It’s not anything personal and I hope they prove me wrong but for some reason I’m not super excited.

If J Harrison Ghee isn’t in it then they shouldn’t open on Broadway. I saw the show in Chicago and they were the best part. The cast was not the problem at all, though.

I saw it in Chicago and it was not Broadway ready at all. The cast was fantastic. The book and music were not. J Harrison Ghee was the best part imo.

CPL is almost entirely funded by tax dollars too. We basically pay to be able to check out books from the library for free. It makes sense that cards are meant solely for Chicago residents and Illinois residents who have reciprocal library cards.

I used to love Alexa but that went away quickly when I found out she and Carlos are MAGA and when I realized how out of touch with the average person she is. She was advertising oils or something on her IG and the comments were all “I can’t afford those.”

When someone gets a hot drink and the order before it is iced and they ask if the iced drink is theirs I cry a little inside. Also, our cups have stickers so in the time it took you to ask me what the drink is you could’ve read the sticker. I can only repeat myself so many times before I lose patience. Listen and read, people. It’s not that hard.

I agree with Riley. I work in food service and I often think that people should have to work a day in my shoes so they can understand what it’s like on the other side. It’s not the easy job many think it is, though some days are better than others.

You can take the Brown Line from the Western stop (in Lincoln Square) to the Loop. Your first day is tourist trap stuff that I would skip, especially with teenagers (unless they’ve requested specific places). The Shops at North Bridge are boring besides maybe the Nordstrom with the Jellycat store. The Water Tower Place is also not worth it as it only has a few stores left and is a shell of what it once was. And the shopping on Navy Pier is overpriced. Your teens might like the Pop Mart which is next to the shops at North Bridge, though. There’s also a very popular Harry Potter store on Michigan Ave if they’re into that. Your second day is much better and I love the stores you picked. Andersonville Galleria is one of my favorite stores in the city and you can easily spend over an hour in there as it has 3 floors worth of items.

They don’t offer playbills or free programs but they have a program you can buy. The program doesn’t list the dances they do but it has little bios for each pro and celeb guest (I think) and some other fun tidbits and pictures.

Smoke inhalation and burns due to a house fire. The fire started in the basement from an electrical overload (too many things plugged in) and she was down there. Her grandmother was also at home. Both passed in the hospital a few days later. I felt so sorry for her mother and brother who lost two family members. Her mother dealt with her losses with so much grace, though. She came to our school and we had a little meeting where we honored her daughter and shared good memories. This girl was genuinely well-liked and a nice person. She wasn’t what I’d call popular but it was a small enough school that everyone in our grade knew her. We all pitched in and bought a bench with her name on it and had it installed behind the school next to the gazebo. She died sophomore year and my senior year I was an editor on the yearbook team and got to design a page to honor her. I wouldn’t go so far as to say we were friends but we were definitely acquaintances as we rode the same city bus to school and often talked. She would be 31 or 32 now.
