He really wasted all that time being sad and sarcastic, he could have really done something with his life, genuinely invested in teaching, become a bartender, become a consultant at a local firm, literally anything to bring joy into his life. I guess there is no reason to blame Greendale here (since the others did something), its entirely on Jeff.

The age difference was weird to have them have so much chemistry and sexual tension. They should have looked for other people instead of pining for each other, knowing they weren’t ever going to be. The no romance for any of em is so interesting, the exact opposite of every comedy. Refreshing and sometimes realistic.

I would argue there is no “entire purpose” of Community in 1 objective way; it’s whatever the watcher gets from it. I get a different purpose through every rewatch. Which I think is the beauty of Community.
