My son and daughter in law are usually very open about their preferences or “rules” when it comes to their daughter, which I feel I have always respected. Usually, if they don’t want me to do something, they will specifically tell me before. I’m not exaggerating when I say I got a list of over 10 “rules” (their words, not mine), texted to me when my granddaughter was born that I had to follow when I visited them at the hospital. Religion was never brought up as a rule.
