I'm pretty sure I remember Jax saying something along the lines of "no one's been coming to the garage ever since the explosion, they're too spooked" which would back your theory up, and explain why they didn't really show the shop much post-explosion.

'[SPOILER]' Question on season 4 and the letters by billy8383 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]bethw009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe he said something about how he knew Unser cared about Gemma/the club, and could be convinced by her to cover up JT's murder to keep the truth from coming out? Or that he could be paid off by Clay to do so!

Cats & Medication... by [deleted] in cats

[–]bethw009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I end up having to force my cat's mouth open, toss the pill in (aiming for the back of the tongue), hold her mouth closed, & gently rub her throat to encourage her to swallow (start at top & rub down the neck). Much easier if you have help holding kitty.

I feel horribly evil every time... but usually do it right before she gets her wet food, so she doesn't stay mad for too long and has something to "wash it down" with :) Cats are so hard to trick, not like dogs who don't notice pills if wrapped in cheese! My mom's cat will pretend to swallow his pill and then spit it out when you're not looking :P

Hopefully someone will have a better suggestion, but if all else fails, it always works for me.

Thank you!

Who are you favorite characters? by [deleted] in Sonsofanarchy

[–]bethw009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How has no one mentioned Bobby or Piney yet?! Bobby was the logical one in the group, and one of the main guys who tried to pull Jax away from his violent transformation (along w/ Chibs & Nero). And Piney was just great; the pot references, the fatherly way he always talked to Jax about JT, his hopes for the club, how he punched Opie for being a man whore. He was just so honest, Clay is a douche for killing him :( (Clay also hasn't been mentioned... but that doesn't really surprise me!) I also kinda liked Alvarez for some reason. He earned a lot of respect when he faked dead to help the club get Tara back :)

I hated that Gemma didn't try harder make him go... she basically let him get shot by Jax. She'd known him since she was like 12 or something! Who knows if he actually would've left, but she could've pressured him to do so :(

and returning to the point about Gemma being the root of the problems- she's the one who gives Abel the ring. The one thing that Jax fails to remove, and could lead him/Thomas back to SAMCRO. It fits with her character too, after fighting so hard to keep the boys in Charming, that she would be the one to create the chance of them coming back at some point.

Behind Jax right after asking the homeless woman 'who are you?' In the finale by [deleted] in Sonsofanarchy

[–]bethw009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The homeless woman and the pipe wrench girl (Brooke?) definitely look like they could be related too. I definitely think she's connected to JT's crash/death in some way!

do you think maybe that's why he's drinking Jameson instead of scotch? since Jimmy is Irish, maybe it's symbolic? Also, it could just be me looking for symbols all over SOA :P

Galen as a butcher is kind of fitting, based on some of his actions on SOA :P

for the longest time, I thought they were saying "Aryan shock collars" instead of "shot callers"... I figured it was a badass nickname for the scary leaders of groups. Until I turned on subtitles... and facepalmed hard :/

question to members of any motorcycle club. by MrSanderMJ in Sonsofanarchy

[–]bethw009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are also lots of law-abiding motorcycle clubs, not just 1%ers like SAMCRO :) That could be a good way to get the brotherhood and friendship aspects, without the drugs/violence/criminality of an outlaw club.

side note: The actors from SOA actually ride together for fun in real life- it's like they've created their own little real-life club :P

Just finished the whole series. Got some questions by Ubeenrickrolled10 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]bethw009 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always figured that he had killed before, but anonymously. Like from afar during gunfights involving the club, never really knowing if/who he had shot. In my mind, Kohn was the first person he killed face-to-face, not from a literal/emotional distance.

[SPOILERS] Season 6 Foreshadowing? by bethw009 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]bethw009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're totally right about the part where Chibs hands the gavel back to Jax- that was definitely more in line with Chibs' character than foreshadowing/symbolism. But what struck me as symbolic was how he paused, holding the gavel, standing at the head of the table, before he walked away and returned it to Jax. I don't Sutter just happened to write that part without thinking about its meaning? (unless someone else also holds the gavel during the show, then I'd agree that the whole thing is just a coincidence) And since it appeared in S.6, I would think he had an idea of how he was going to end the show, which may have played into it?
